Giovanni started playing the guitar when he was 6 years old and he never stopped thanks to his passion and his devotion to music. He has played with many bands and artists and has also played on a TV talent show in Italy. He has taught for many years to students of all ages and in several different music schools. In 2016 he moved to London to study music performance at ICMP and to achieve a BA Hons 1st Class in performance and music composition.

He is offering 1-2-1 guitar lessons to beginners/intermediate and advanced guitar students of all ages.

He DBS certificated so he can offer private lessons to children in a completely safe environment.

The lessons can be online, at his studio in Willesden Junction in London or in the nearby areas like Webley, Acton, Kensal Green, Kensal rise etc. At the studio there is all the necessary equipment to teach students to play guitar. I can also show you how to record and mix guitars tracks on Logic Pro X recording studio.

In my 10 years of experience playing guitar in various bands, I have accumulated a vast amount of knowledge about a plethora of different genres that I am able to teach confidently in including, Rock/Metal, Blues, Jazz, Funk, Country and anything else that you may want me to teach.

I can also help with key musical skills including fingerboard harmony, technique, vocabulary, song/solo analysis, improvisation, music theory, ear training and sight reading.

My goal as a teacher is to give the student effective tools for building their musical vocabulary in a fun and effective way without making it feel too much like school. Each lesson is catered toward the individual. I aim to teach every student the integral aspects of whichever genre they would like to learn and help them through anything they may be struggling with with care and patience.

I teach classical guitar up to grade 7.

The purpose of this course is to bring students closer to a conservatory experience, where learning is not limited to "how-to" tutorials and lectures. Through a series of lessons customised according to your needs, assignments, and working with me on tasks, you will develop a great load of skills in classical guitar performance as well as a deep understanding of the classical guitar repertoire.

I focus on the western classical guitar repertoire from Renaissance to the 21st century (for example works of Dowland, Narvaez, Bach, Giuliani, Scarlatti, Carcassi, Tarrega, Villa-Lobos, Brouwer, Koshkin etc). Not only will we focus on the technical aspects of playing the guitar, but we will also analyse and use tools of music theory in order for you to deeply understand and be able to demonstrate your personal character in your performance.

Hidè graduated from the prestigious Guildhall School of Music as a Bachelor of Music, Postgraduate Diplomas in Music Performance and Composition in 2006 and started performing in the U.K., Europe and Japan.
Teaching career both privately since 2004 and as registered guitar tutor for Barnet Education Arts Trust for over 14 years with complete beginners to grade 8 in Trinity and Rockschool exams.
Inspired by his guru, the great virtuoso and composer Keigo Fujii, Hidè’s guitar technique can be traced back via José Luis Gonzaléz, Andrés Segovia, Miguel Llobet to the great Francisco Tárrega.
