Graduate of Oxford University, Royal College of Music and San Francisco Conservatory, I am dedicated teacher with over 22 years experience: working with students of all ages, at all levels. I enjoy finding the right approach to help you learn best, fulfill your potential, and achieve what you'd like out of the lessons - be that exams, auditions or enjoyment and relaxation.

About Me

I am dedicated teacher with over 22 years experience, and enjoy working with students of all ages, at all levels. I particularly enjoy setting up beginners well, and problem solving more advanced student's technical problems.

I'm keen to give students the tools so they can problem solve on their own, and the technical means to express what they want to say musically.

Although my approach is tailored to each individual student, I work in a structured way and expect regular practice to be done at home to support learning and make progress!

I can teach cello, piano and music theory /reading. I am a patient and adaptable teacher - I love teaching both adults and children alike, and focus on particular needs of each individual.

I generally use Cello Time series of books for cello lessons, Music Theory in Practice for music theory, and Piano Time series for piano. But I'm open to others if you already have books that you've started on. I don't follow these books precisely, but more use them as a useful structure - adapting and moving at the student's pace.

Nothing can get the blood pumping more than listening to a high octane, heavy metal riff, lick or solo.

However there is more to this style of music than what meets the eye and needs a bit more care attention than you may first think.
If you are looking to learn what makes a shred solo, what makes a riff catchy and what keeps the neighbours up at night this is the class for you.

Covering techniques from String Skipping, Hybrid Picking, Sweep Picking, Pinch Harmonics, Legato.

As i studied piano since i was 7 years old this is my job but also my passion.I finished the High school of arts "Marin Sorescu" and also played in my family band since i was 13 .In my last year of high school i was holding piano classes in my moms and dads private music school .Unfortunately i needed to leave the country for a project and then i decided that i am not going back .I really love introducing people into this world and share my knowledge with them .I also love kids a lot so feel free to contact me

An individualized approach to learning, my lessons are for students who want support and inspiration for their compositions at IBDP, A-Level or GCSE level, as well as students of all ages completing their ABRSM or Trinity theory examinations.

With over 14 years experience teaching music in international schools in Switzerland, China and Bermuda, as well as teaching in London and Australia, I haveAn excellent understanding of what examiners are looking for from the candidates.

Having a Bachelors in Music Composition and Post-Grad in Music Education, feel confident that my love for theory and composition will not only offer you results success, but an inspired and energized approach to creating and understanding music theory.

Any young person who wants to learn to play the piano/ singing lessons can get in touch.

I currently have a digital piano but can travel within the Oxford area.

Previously sang on a regular basis and also taught basic music lessons on the piano prior to moving to Oxford.
