Trusted teacher: Hey! Are you looking for a young, approachable yet meticulous tutor in Computer Science or Mathematics? Then I believe I might be the tutor for you! I offer lessons in the aforementioned subjects (English only) for high-school and bachelor students at the start of their studies. A little bit about me: My name is Bozhidar and I am a MSc Data Science student at ETH Zuerich. Last year, I completed my bachelor's in Computer Science at TU Delft (the #1 technical university in the Netherlands) with distinction. I was a teaching assistant for 10 courses during my stay at the university. Trusted teacher: The lessons can be conducted in English 🇬🇧, Spanish 🇪🇸 , or Italian 🇮🇹 , ensuring accessibility for all students. Age and musical preferences are not limitations; with qualitative daily practice, rather than sheer quantity, progress can be swiftly observed. 💪🏼 🎶 My approach to classical guitar lessons is centered on tailoring them to each student's individual needs and potential. I prioritize fostering enthusiasm and motivation as primary tools for conveying technical and theoretical concepts, alongside a deep love for music. Lessons are open to students of all ages and skill levels. 🚀 The focus of the course revolves around the joy of playing music. Your favorite genres and pieces will take center stage, with a thorough exploration of their codes and secrets. Together, we'll delve into technical exercises and learn to play pièces of your choice or mine, enriching your repertoire and enhancing your playing style. 🤩 For example, we can reimagine pieces by applying advanced techniques such as the CAGED system, incorporating new chords, positions, and techniques like arpeggios and fingerstyle playing. This expands the instrument's capabilities and your playing skills, ensuring continuous progress and improvement. 👨🏻‍🏫 Upon request, the program also includes theoretical studies, which are presented in an accessible manner suitable for both beginners and experienced musicians. Exercises, pieces, and theoretical explanations are structured in a progressive order of difficulty.🔥 The theoretical program covers a range of topics, including guitar tuning, chord theory, scales and modes, finger picking techniques, strumming patterns, metronome practice, learning favorite songs, improvisation, harmony, melody, and rhythm theory.⚡️ Together, we'll embark on a musical journey tailored to your goals and aspirations, ensuring a fulfilling and enriching experience with the classical guitar.🔝☄️

Trusted teacher: Would you like to be able to illustrate the worlds and stories you imagine? Do you want to learn how to create characters for a video game, animation, children's story, comic or in any format? Or would you like to be able to draw your favorite characters? If you have those concerns, I would love to help you. I like to focus the classes in such a way that the current drawing level of the student is not what is important. The room for improvement will always evolve. I like to take my classes towards character design, towards general things like the psychology of color and shapes, since they are assimilable and highly useful concepts, independent of the level of drawing. For this reason, my classes are aimed at all ages and drawing levels. I also try to focus them on the preferences and tastes of each student, showing them that everything they like, they like for a reason, that nothing is left to chance and that they can also understand how to make their drawings reflect what they want to convey. Even to create your portfolios or visual information for your own project or story. I give private classes with students from different parts of the world, so many of my classes I have been able to do in both English and French. I studied 2D animation in France, and thanks to this training, my work has been nourished by dynamism, storytelling, expressiveness, typical of this medium, as well as the sensitivity for color and shapes that I usually use to infuse a unique style both to my original designs as well as my fanarts.

Trusted teacher: ABOUT THE LESSONS My lessons are for all levels and all ages. We can work on specific skills that you are interested in mastering, such as orchestration principles, harmony, notation software (Sibelius), Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), and more. We will work together to design the course that is perfect for you. ABOUT ME I am an experienced music educator and have taught hundreds of lessons ranging from beginners to the graduate level. I structure my lessons around students' goals while encouraging them to keep open minds (and ears). I am a graduate of Yale University, the École Normale de Musique de Paris, the Fontainebleau Conservatory, and the Royal Carillon School of Belgium. I currently make music in Paris, where I am a 2023/24 lauréat of the Cité internationale des arts and a Mortimer Hays Traveling Fellow from Brandeis University. I was the 2021-2022 recipient of a Fulbright-Harriet Hale Woolley Award at the United States Foundation in France, and received the 2022 Rosalind Swenson Fulbright Enrichment Award. I am also a Fellow of the Belgian-American Educational Foundation. My most recent musicological article, "Overtones, Sonic and Politic: Octatonicism, Minor Thirds, and Bells," was published in Volume 71 of the scholarly journal of the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America in April 2022. Although I studied classical composition in school, I write music in many genres including classical, rock, jazz, pop, and film scores. I played the guitar and the drums in several rock and folk bands in high school. My favorite band is the Beatles. Outside of music, I enjoy making watercolor paintings of trees.

Pablo - Minato, Japan£21
Trusted teacher: Hola !!! みなさんこにちぐあ Hi everyone! Qué tal? How are you? My name is Pablo, a Spanish teacher from Spain. Also, you can call me David, or Debiddo, as my Japanese family does. Currently living in Tokyo, developing my career and enjoying the amazing gastronomy here. Most of my time, I am helping students to get their goals with this amazing language. -How my classes are? Funny as possible! And 100% Hispanic experience. In a few specific important moments, we could speak English. Just if we really need. I offer classes in 3 different systems, in order to suit your needs and goals. You can choose between: 1- BESPOKE, Lessons are customized to suit you in order to get the most out of them. 2-CONVERSATION, Designed for students already at the elementary level, level A.2, since a foundation is required to be able to communicate. 3-COMBO BC, The conversation and bespoke systems blend it. -How is the first class? We will talk about your goals and objectives. And mainly about you, your likes, hobbies, and skills. Why?? Because every student is different, the same as humans, and the best way to teach is to discover what kind of student you are. You will surprise how much words you know from the first class! Learning Spanish will get you in the second most spoken language in the world. -What do I use? I use varied material to customize the lessons and exercises for you. I have my own material, but also I use professional resources like books or interactive activities. -How I am? Dedicated, empathic and funny. I really like to make the lessons the easiest way possible, the same style as kids learn: with fun. I roundly curious about everything, as I have traveled a lot and I have taught in the cosmopolitan city of London for a while to different nationality students. I love books, healthy style of life, and documentaries. -What kind of skills I have? I am a huge Japanese food lover... I am certificated as ELE professional, a Spanish teacher for foreigners, for International House Barcelona, recognized for Cervantes Institute. Most important I enjoy teaching for a while, not just Spanish. Different subjects as yoga, documentaries or meditation for beginners. I speak also English and two more languages, Galician and Portuguese. Plus currently, I am learning Japanese. -Is Spanish a difficult language? Maybe is easier English? Well, nothing compared with Chinese or Hungarian language... ;) I promise you. The Spanish language has important differences with Asian languages, true. But when you identified which they are, is just a question of practice. A good explanation for this is that especially for Japanese students, Spanish phonetic is much easier than English. And both languages, Spanish and English, share many words, structures and phonetics. You will surprise how much Spanish words you know already and you didn't realize. Despite this, I understand how hard could be in some moments. But DON'T worry, please! Step by step, together, you will get confident and motivation pretty high to make this fantastic language, YOUR language. You will learn not just in class time with me because you will use some of your hobbies and passions to keep and improve your Spanish. I will design these activities for you. -Where do I teach? I use to meet students at their home or some places like a quiet coffee shop. Around my area or yours. We could arrange the best place for you. I love parks on a nice day too! -Do you teach groups? Yes, definitely. I am more than happy to give lessons to small groups. Students groups give me many options and wide opportunities to make fantastic activities and games. And with economic prices. -Are you a little bit curious but you don't want to take a decision yet? I am happy to send you an example of how my classes look like. I appreciate your interest and time and don't hesitate to consult me, please. Gracias, and see you!

GUITAR LESSON for ALL LEVELS ✨ taught by a seasoned CONSERVATOIRE PROFESSOR! 🎶 (Estella-Lizarra)
Mirko

rating green star
My review is based on two 60 minute online lessons but also on communication outside of the lessons. Mirko comes across as a genuinely nice guy. When messaged, he responds quickly. Last night I had a small question regarding a piece from our lesson, that I wished would be answered prior to our next meeting and he answered in a very timely fashion and to full satisfaction. If you're someone who wants to build a solid foundation, then I think that you don't need to look any further. Like a concrete slab floor that needs hardening prior to further construction, he doesn't rush through material but makes sure that you're ready before the next stage. As I was not a total beginner, Mirko would start at the lowest or near the lowest entry point after I showed him a range of the things that I was familiar with. So a good starting point for me was a simple I-M rest stroke alternation exercice on the first string and he gradually increased the difficulty. He also introduced me to a short piece that I haven't heard before and right now I can play 40% of it and the plan is to play it fully by the next lesson which is a very realistic goal. When it comes to conveying techniques it would be too early to make a comment because as I already had acquired a reasonably good technique, we didn't focus much on it (yet). I will conclude by saying that if you're someone who doesn't like structure and only wants a taste of everything that a guitar has to offer but not really fully digest anything that is presented in front of you, then skip this teacher. I ,for one, am happy that I found Mirko.

I AM A WOLOF TEACHER. LEARN AND SPEAK WOLOF EASILY WITH ME.
Dembane

rating green star
Very clear as to what his teaching methods and goals are, how he'll help you get there - then jumps right in and gets you started with no fuss. I found myself speaking sentences in Wolof by the end of the lesson, and really appreciate the additional written material he supplied as well. As someone who has taught and learned various other languages I can tell that Dembane has a really sound methodology. I'll add to this review in a few months time, but so far I am impressed. Also glad that he is pointing out regional differences between Senegal and Gambia usage to me, as it's relevant to my learning needs. He does personalise the content for the individual student, which is good to see.

Anaïs

rating green star
I've been putting off this review because I was afraid my review wouldn't be good enough to tell how great Anais is as a teacher! I've been taking lessons with her for more than 6 months now and my French has improved a lot since then. Before that I used to have classroom lessons that were "okay", but now I really feel that I'm making much more progress. Anais is a lovely person and her dynamic to teach is great, the time flies during the lessons. Totally recommend her!
