From my studio at the Berlagebrug, I give Piano lessons to beginners and (semi) advanced students. The lessons take place on a Yamaha wing and when a piece is well under control, we can make a professional recording of it. I graduated in 1992 as a musician from the Hilversum Conservatory (nowadays Conservatory of Amsterdam) in the direction of light music, or jazz and pop. So with me, you learn not only to read notes but also chord schemes and - if you want - improvisation. Or we search together for a song that you would like to play and make a nice adaptation of it. Together we first look at exactly what you want to learn and align the curriculum. I can also help you learn how to compose and produce. I work with Pro Tools and Logic Pro X. For classical Piano lessons, I would rather refer you to someone else.

Hola everyone! I have always been passionate about arts, culture, people, and traveling, and through my communicative experiences interacting with different people in different languages around the world, I have understood the essential needs when it comes to language acquisition. That is why my method is a compilation of the traditional usage of books, texts, audios, and short films, combined with PowerPoint presentations full of images, interactive games, and recreation of real-life situations in which the students will naturally learn complex grammar topics while having fun. I also create a particular relationship with each student to detect the type of learner the student is and tailor the class according to his/her personality, needs, and expectations. The class can be taught in English or Dutch but I am always aiming to expose the student to Spanish as much as possible so he/she can experience faster progress. I am a native Spanish speaker with a bachelor's degree in Social Communication from Pontificia Javeriana University in Bogota-Colombia, ELE Spanish Teacher certified by Lola Martínez Cabrera Senior Professor from “Molinos de Viento” in Amsterdam and hold a postgraduate degree as ELE Spanish teacher from Barcelona University and International House Institute. I have been giving private Spanish classes to adults for the last eight years. For the last 15 years, I have been dealing with Spanish, English, Dutch, and German on a daily basis.

My name is Christelle, I recently graduated from a research masters in Genetics and Psychology and I am now working as a PhD student in the genetics of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I completed both my Bachelor in Psychology, and Master’s at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. My lessons are for anyone who wants to delve into electronic music & sound design. As an experienced composer, producer and sound designer I specialize in applying my broad knowledge and experience in the field of music & technology. Most successful electronic musicians combine different skills, such as working with music production software and hardware, playing a keyboard, recording and mixing, but also music theory and composition techniques. Because as an electronic musician you often have to deal with different instruments & other sound sources, my lessons are also very suitable if you want to learn to design your own sounds, not only to make music, but also as sound effects for videos or games, for example. Just like in my own professional practice, I teach the different aspects of electronic music production: - sound design ('sound design'), both analogue and digital - synthesis - composition techniques - software for music production, so-called 'DAWs' such as Ableton Live - hardware, such as modular synthesizers and effect units - production: recording and mixing of audio - performance of electronic music It is also possible to learn more about (Western and non-Western) music theory and the history of (electronic) music. From my background as a sound designer for games & film, much of me can share knowledge and experience in this. In principle, my lessons are always adapted to the individual needs, knowledge and skills of the student. For the youngest, my approach is to introduce them to music and technology in a playful way. For this I use my own collection of musical instruments that I have collected over the years from all over the world, and which I link to technology.

I offer flowy, creative and funky vinyasa and hatha classes. Slow flow yin-like classes are an option as well! The classes are held online, through zoom or other platforms, but they will be in person as well in a few months! The classes can focus on hips flexibility and mobility specifically, in order to work on the lower chakras, but the preferences of the student will be discussed so to tailor the class on the basis of your needs. Classes are generally addressing the whole body with a greater focus on the lower areas in the last parts of the class. I encourage feeling one own's body with care to ensure that we are working on the areas that most need attention! But working on the hips can be very useful to release facial and jaw tension, tap into femininity and release stored negative emotions of fear and shame. Classes are sensitive to trauma and can be very good to reestablish a connection to an often forgotten (female) body, but also to cultivate compassion, forgiveness and clarity.
