From 47.99 £ /h
My lessons are highly flexible and tailored to help each student reach their musical goals as efficiently as possible. Whichever genre of music you want to learn (pop, classical music, rock, metal, jazz, salsa, middle eastern, balkan and other folk music, etc.), I have experience in lots of musical fields and can help in learning how to play bass, the role you play in the band and the theory behind it all.
Extra information
For double bass students, I have my own double bass you can use during the lesson, as well as bass guitar for those students (though I would strongly suggest to bring your own bass guitar to the lesson).

About Me
Duarte (2003) is a Portuguese double bassist, bass guitarist, and composer shaped by a rich and diverse musical environment.
He began his musical journey at the age of nine, when he received his first double bass and enrolled at the Conservatório de Música Calouste Gulbenkian in Braga. At age seventeen, Duarte deepened his engagement with jazz under the guidance of acclaimed Portuguese jazz bassist Nuno Campos.
Duarte is currently studying at the prestigious Conservatory of Amsterdam, where he has worked with renowned musicians such as Clemens van der Feen, Jeroen Vierdag, Matt Penman, Linda May Han Oh, and Petros Klampanis, and co-leads @sage.4tet, a modern jazz quartet.
These experiences have further enriched his artistic perspective and allowed him to specialize in advanced rhythmic concepts.
With a solid foundation spanning balkan tradition and classical music through to jazz, Duarte continues to explore and merge genres, developing a unique and innovative musical approach.
