Together we will look for your music and creativity. I make a lot of use of (together) playing and improvisation, technique is a guide for what you want to learn.

About Me

Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, I started to play violin at age six. I studied jazz improvisation at the Prins Claus Conservatory in Groningen and afterwards completed a post graduate course in teaching school music (primary schools)at the Aslan Music centre in Amsterdam. My musical activity centres around improvisation, be it in folklore ensembles between the Balkans and Mexico, in jazz or experimental and multidisciplinary constellations. I have been teaching music and violin for three years now to children and adults, privately or in groups.

Bachelor Jazz at the Prins Claus Conservatorium in Groningen, Pedagogy and violin methodology while studying. Post-HBO (post graduate) course on musical education in elementary schools at the Aslan Music centre in Amsterdam.

My name is Teis. I am a Danish guitarist trained in Jazz music at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and USC Thornton School of Music (Los Angeles). I have played since age 7, studied since age 13, and played professionally since age 18.

I work professionally as a band leader, composer, and side person.

After around 25 years of experience on the guitar, I can confidently say that I am equipped to share the knowledge that I have accumulated over the years.

I've been playing the piano with great passion for 18 years, and over the past 5 years, alongside my studies and music-making endeavors, I've been teaching multiple students ranging from 7 to 50 years old. My expertise lies in truly understanding music theory and composing and improvising music. Having played in many pop and jazz (big) bands and creating daily compositions for solo piano and bands, I've developed an enthusiasm for these genres that I love to impart to my students.
