Hi, I'm Federica, I am Italian, and I am a Jazz piano player and singer. I studied at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague and I just completed a master in Vocals and Piano at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I give Jazz/Pop/Classical Piano lessons but my main goal is to try to give the student a general understanding of the music to approach every style and to have fun with music! My name is Mathilde, I am a French violinist, pianist, harpsichordist, producer and composer.
I have graduated from the world’s great institutions such as the Royal College of Music London, Manhattan School of Music New-York, Brussels Royal Conservatory, and Paris-Sorbonne University (in musicology).
I have been performing concerts around the world in the most prestigious concert halls including the Châtelet Theatre and Seine Musicale (Paris), the National Opera House (Oman) and La Scala (Milan), as well as many other venues in Europe, US, China, Middle-East. During this period of time, I had been playing in the Orchestra Academy of La Scala in Milan for 2 years, and I am currently playing at the Metropole Orkest in Amsterdam.

With the experiences I gained over the years - including the teaching experience in the Conservatory of Cambrai (France) - I became an expert in teaching violin and keyboards as well as music theory, including writing and reading scores. I have been teaching to the different age groups and different levels of technical backgrounds (beginner or advanced). I can easily adapt myself to the level of each student to create a synchronicity and help them pursue their goals and wishes. I am there to help them as a teacher and a music coach for their musical career. I can combine different practices and teach basic techniques in repertoire that matches the personality of the student (from classical to contemporary, pop, rock and more). Music is Play! and everyone is it's own game.
Read, understand and make only the music you like. I think if it isn't fun, it can't be music:)

I studied a classical piano bachelor, and later a jazz master and a live electronics master. In the meantime, I have been teaching music. It's longer than 9 years now!
Most of my students learn piano. With the starter ones, I use my own system to equally help them grow all the needed skills: body consciousness (to avoid lesions or bad habits), music theory (including writing and reading) and improvisation.
Usually most songs are made of melody, chords and rhythm. From there, I can help you understand how a song works, how is it written, how does it translate to the piano... and voilá! You'll know the song by heart, and will be able to play it a bit different every time, because you won't be following a set of pre-imposed instructions. You will understand how a small system (a song) works.
This way of learning can be applied to any song, from any century or style. Understanding is key! Play Chopin, write rock songs, play Monk, Bill Evans, the Beatles, make a lo-fi beat, play Beethoven, play the Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Star Wars, play video game music, play salsa! bachata and make people dance, laugh or cry.
Music is very powerful!

PD: I have also experience imparting electronic music lessons in Ableton Live and Max MSP, which is now a very important part of my professional practice. My name is Enrique and I come from Andalucía, Spain. I am a Classical Piano student at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and I would be pleased to be your teacher. It will be great to teach you how to play your favourite music on the piano, but also about its language, reading and writing, that is, the music theory, or even how to start improvising your own music.
