Hi,

I am a native Turkish speaker, musician, and music teacher from the lovely city of Amsterdam. I am still studying Jazz trumpet at the Amsterdam Conservatory since 2014.

My mother tongue is Turkish and thanks to my international studies, I can speak English fluently and am currently learning Dutch. I already had a few experiences teaching Turkish to my close international friends and I continue teaching in a more professional manner.

First of all, Turkish might seem a bit difficult to learn, but don't be afraid. I have seen that with my students, it gets easier along the way, and the more you learn the more you feel mesmerized by the richness and beauty of it. You would be surprised when you realize how you are progressing in a short time. As a music teacher, I have a number of skills that might help you with learning a language as well. The Turkish language with its Latin script is the perfect key to opening up the Middle East culture and even further-flung eastern lands and languages.

The lessons will be specialized to your aims in a fun and realistic way. In my teaching; everything we learn, we must also use in our conversations. We will increase all your skills in listening, speech, conversation, reading, and comprehension.

About Me

I've heard from students that I am a very kind teacher. Creating a motivating educational environment is a priority for me. A relationship of trust will be easily established in order to achieve the desired goals. As a Jazz Trumpet student of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam I offer private lessons for all ages and all levels.
In addition to my studies, I had been offering teaching Trumpet, Music Theory and Piano beginners (of any age), group or private lessons as well. I had been working in several schools in Istanbul teaching those subjects, examining, organizing auditions and helping students to prepare auditions to play in orchestras and schools.

In my opinion, creativity and pleasure of playing are the way to improve and learn. After teaching many years I understand all of my student are unique and different. When you have just started, we will take it easy by working on several things. We work from a teaching method, in which you go a step forward every week and can already enjoy playing within a short time! You will receive personalized tips and tricks, exercises and studies, so that you will enjoy reaching your goal! I pay attention not only to technique, but also to interpretation and musical imagination to allow my students to develop the most beautiful sound possible. Maybe it's something I can share with you!

Merhaba! I am an enthusiastic teacher who has been teaching Turkish for foreigners and children whose native language is Turkish but need to improve it. Having experience with both teenagers and adults, I specialize in tutoring Turkish based on four skills: Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing.

I plan my lessons regarding the student's needs and goals. In my lessons, I prefer using different teaching coursebooks and authentic resources (e.g. online articles, newspapers, magazines).

I am an expat have been living in the Netherlands since 2018 January. I have studied my Bachelors in Istanbul and master degree in Vrije University Amsterdam. I have worked as a teacher in a private high school in Istanbul. I am currently working as a Turkish language teacher in the Netherlands. I have a lot of young and children students who are learning Turkish with me. Sometimes I make playgroups by pairing some children. In this way, these children use Turkish language in the social environment by playing games with other children who have same language level.

I am half English and half Turkish I moved to the Netherlands few years ago. And I would like to teach Turkish to those who are interested in learning.
I haven't thought as a job before but only as in music lessons. I would love to teach try to teach someone else how to read and speak Turkish.
