About Me

I live in Holland almost 19 years. Holland is home for me as same as Istanbul. During this long period , I've often realized , even so many Turkish people living in Holland, Dutch people are not familiar with Turkish language. They dont know even simple words like;
bir ( 1), iki (2), üç (3) in Turkish, but un, dos tres in Spanish
or wahid, ithnan, thalathah in Arabic or ,odyn dva try in Ukrainian or raz dwa trzy in Polish
Ok right you dont need to count in all languages. But it is good to understand people around you if you know a bit about their language.

Then last 5 years after Brexit, Amsterdam became more an international business center. Many Turkish young expats, together with English, Spanish, German expats are located in big cities. I hear now at the streets of Haarlem, so many different languages. Shops are full with bilingual young people. Luckily we can all talk English or french or German, What about talking some other interesting language; Turkish, Mandarin, Arabic, Japanese or just simply Spanish.

Merhaba! I am an enthusiastic teacher who has been teaching Turkish for foreigners and children whose native language is Turkish but need to improve it. Having experience with both teenagers and adults, I specialize in tutoring Turkish based on four skills: Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing.

I am a native Turkish speaker, musician, and music teacher from the lovely city of Amsterdam. I am still studying Jazz trumpet at the Amsterdam Conservatory since 2014.

My mother tongue is Turkish and thanks to my international studies, I can speak English fluently and am currently learning Dutch. I already had a few experiences teaching Turkish to my close international friends and I continue teaching in a more professional manner.

First of all, Turkish might seem a bit difficult to learn, but don't be afraid. I have seen that with my students, it gets easier along the way, and the more you learn the more you feel mesmerized by the richness and beauty of it. You would be surprised when you realize how you are progressing in a short time. As a music teacher, I have a number of skills that might help you with learning a language as well. The Turkish language with its Latin script is the perfect key to opening up the Middle East culture and even further-flung eastern lands and languages.

I am an expat have been living in the Netherlands since 2018 January. I have studied my Bachelors in Istanbul and master degree in Vrije University Amsterdam. I have worked as a teacher in a private high school in Istanbul. I am currently working as a Turkish language teacher in the Netherlands. I have a lot of young and children students who are learning Turkish with me. Sometimes I make playgroups by pairing some children. In this way, these children use Turkish language in the social environment by playing games with other children who have same language level.

I am half English and half Turkish I moved to the Netherlands few years ago. And I would like to teach Turkish to those who are interested in learning.
