After living in Canada for 13 years, I speak English at a native level. Beyond that, I have a university degree in Second Language Teaching and taught in Madrid for two years.

A foreign language can cause a lot of stress for many people. Nevertheless, I always do my best to make my classes as interesting and stress-free as possible. I am an enthusiastic, patient and very positive teacher.

I grew up in Toronto, graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours BA in English Literature, and have experience teaching both adults and younger students. I specialize in conversation classes, and my students have all attained great results quite quickly -- they've become more confident in speaking, and have increased their vocabularies significantly.
I also provide consultation in academic writing and school applications. My clients have gone on to study in schools such as Yale, UPenn Wharton, and other prestigious universities.
I am also fluent in Chinese. I teach my classes in English, but will switch to Chinese on especially difficult concepts if the students are struggling to comprehend my explanations in English. Hello, my name is Kate and I am a first-year student at the University of Toronto, majoring in political science and double minoring in European Affairs and Human Geography. I've attended the British School in the Netherlands and have completed both my GCSE's and the IB. During my GCSE's I took separate sciences, spanish, english literature, maths, drama and geography with grades ranging from 6-9.

In IB I took higher level english literature, geography, spanish and standard level maths applications and interpretations, psychology and biology. My predicted was 39 and I've recieved 34 points in total with acceptance from universities like University College London, Kings College London, University of Toronto, Leiden University, Amsterdam University, Maastricht and I passed the Oxford exam.
