About Me

I am a mature and dynamic 20 year old student. I lived in Switzerland before recently moving here. Having taught to several students throughout their school years, I find teaching a highly rewarding and humble experience. My lessons aren't purely based on grammar and syntax books, I also enjoy using interactive approches, for example role play, discussing and analyzing series/documentaries and debates over any news.
My lessons are captivating and lively.

Hello, I am a French graphic designer giving flexible French lessons to all levels and all goals! I have a background in art and literature and therefore would be interested in taking the lessons to another context than the academic one. My belief is that each student is different and requires a tailor made lesson to meet that student’s needs and goals. Every class is personalised for your own profile and is adapted as needed. I give priority to conversation, convinced that even from the very first day, one can start to communicate in the new language and thus gain confidence to go on.

I base my courses on the four essential competencies: speaking, listening, writing and reading, always focusing on your personal goals and motivation. I progressively integrate phonetics, grammar, conjugation, vocabulary in the courses which always include practical exercises. You will also learn a lot about the culture as it is deeply linked to the language.

The pedagogic materials I choose are mostly created for native speakers : texts from literature, newspapers, radio podcasts, videos, songs.... Indeed, I am convinced that the learning process has to tackle « real subjects », as languages are alive and constantly changing. My main challenge is to help the learners to be able to « think » in the second language. The debate is the heart of my classroom, but always in a playful way, through many role games — for me learning a language is first and foremost a great joy !

I always motivate my students to do their best and to speak in French during class. I always give homework to practice writing skills.
From B1 level we talk about news and culture, my lessons are always concrete and goal oriented. Repetition is also part of my lessons, so that students can learn new material with confidence.
