1st place nationally in Lebanon in 2012 and 2015, then 3rd place worldwide in India in 2016, I now offer mental calculation courses on abacus for children.
The abacus is an ancient calculating tool, used long before calculators. I learned this method as a child through the UCMAS program, and it has been incredibly beneficial. Beyond mental arithmetic, it allowed me to stand out from other students and feel particularly comfortable in elementary, middle, and high school, especially in subjects that require concentration, logic, and a good memory, whether in mathematics, science, history, or other subjects where it's necessary to retain information and structure one's thoughts.
What I love about this method is that it doesn't just develop calculation speed. It also helps strengthen concentration, memory, visualization, logic, self-confidence, and comfort with numbers. For many children, it's a real foundation that helps them far beyond the sessions, in how they learn, think, and approach school with more confidence.
Each child has their own way of understanding. My role is to adapt to them, to patiently pass on this method, and to make learning stimulating, progressive, and accessible.
Since this method requires regularity to give real results, I prefer support over several sessions, with progression and training between lessons.
Prices :
• 1 session: €40
• Package of 4 sessions: €150
• 8-session package: €280
• 12-session package: €360
• Free discovery session: call with parents or short test session to present the method, explain the program and answer questions.
Location / format: Arpajon, Paris and surrounding areas, or video conferencing.

A mechanical engineering graduate, top of my class, and currently working at Renault, I've always loved sharing knowledge and explaining things. Even back in school, students often came to me to understand an exercise, review a concept, or feel more confident before a test. Today, I teach with the same enthusiasm: to help students understand, regain confidence, and progress more smoothly.
Every student learns differently. My role is to identify what's holding them back, find the right way to explain, and adapt so that things finally become clear. Very often, the real problem isn't the student's level, but simply the way the concepts are presented.
I offer mathematics lessons for primary, middle, and high school students.

A mechanical engineering graduate, top of my class, currently working at Renault, I have always enjoyed teaching and explaining. Scientific subjects often require more than just memorization: they demand genuine understanding. This is precisely what I strive to provide in my courses, making concepts clearer, more logical, and more accessible.

Engineer passionate about math, offers mental arithmetic courses adapted to your needs: counting quickly in everyday life, no longer being fooled when shopping, being able to do without your calculator or your phone, making it easier to life in math classes, pass psychotechnical tests or prepare for job interviews.

I specialize in understanding tehnicalities and formalities in math at highschool and university level. I am very precise and rigourous in explaining providing the general ideas first to build up the intuition. I give homeworks after each sessions and I expect them to be solved for the next session otherwise no progress has been made.

I am willing to spend extra 30 minutes if the student feels the level of explaining was unsatisfactory. Having an experience in international math competitions I can detect the solution and the general technique very fast for any kind of extrance exam, be it the BAC or entrance exams for the Grand Ecoles.

Being a teacher will help me to make an impact on students' lives. Having taken advanced courses during my High school pertaining to Mathematics and Physics, I was tailor-made for Engineering since it involves critical thinking as well. Imparting the knowledge I have learned is my way of giving back.

I propose to teach you the method of mental arithmetic as taught in Montessori schools: the abacus. Very fun, this technique facilitates mental arithmetic and can be learned from the age of 4.

During the sessions I will teach the student to:
- read and write on the abacus
- rely on abacus
- carry out calculations on an abacus (starting with simple addition and subtraction operations and going crescendo)
- memorize the abacus to ultimately be able to do the head calculations

The lessons can be carried out by video, at my home or at the student's.

My Japanese abacus lessons will allow your child (or yourself) to promote their abilities.
They will help him improve his concentration, his memory, his ability to visualize, his listening, his logic. A powerful tool for the development of children and why not adults.

Due to my limited availability, I cannot travel far, I can teach in the following districts: 75020, 75019, 75010, 75011 and possibly in Bagnolet.

Math is a important subject in society today. It is the core of physics and most sciences. Struggling with math at school is normal. I am here to help you understand math and get better grades.

I can help you get better in math altogether : geometry, algebra, calculus etc.

I try to make math as fun as it can be

I have worked for 6 years now with kids from international schools who were "hating" maths because the methods used by their IB teachers were too complicated and hard to understand.

I believe that no one is "not mathematical", we just have to find the way to approach the subject together; I have indeed a few teaching methods that can be adapted to a kids' needs, I believe every kid needs a different method to fully understand the subject.

I provide 3 types of lessons that represent 3 phases:
1. THEORY - Understanding the theory behind the exercises, this phase is the shortest since I believe that to fully understand maths you need to exercise.
2. EXERCISES - Doing exercises divided by subject we. just went through in the theory part.
3. PAST PAPERS - Going through past papers to "simulate" a potential exam.

Dividing the process in 3 phases has proven really effective in succeeding not only during the year but also at the final exams.

Hi,

As a passionate advocate of mental arithmetic, I designed this course to make manipulating numbers more enjoyable and fun on a daily basis for both children and adults.
I offer private lessons and group lessons for a maximum of 4 people.
I also work in collaboration with my colleague Amaury, who is also a teacher on Apprentus.

See you soon.

I teach in English and French whenever needed. Polish, as well. I firmly believe that there is no such thing as a person who is bad at math. We'll do your homework together at your pace, until you understand how things work and can attack the problem confidently, with progressively less of my help as time goes on. My whole job is to make you independent and to be able to figure things out on your own — to put myself out of a job, in a way. :) I have done it this way for approximately 30 years with secondary-level students (and the occasional university student).

Mathematics and physics are the cornerstones of understanding the world. As a Master's student in Mathematics and Physics (AMIS) at Paris-Saclay University, I teach a rigorous method for transforming complex concepts into simple and intuitive solutions. I designed this course as a practical and structured learning tool for secondary and higher education students.

You will learn to master the tools of analysis, algebra, and mechanics, while developing practical problem-solving skills. We will work on clarity of reasoning, precision of writing, and the direct application of formulas through progressive exercises to ensure your success in exams and competitions.
