About Me
I teach a wide variety of styles, but the goal is to facilitate the process by which the student learns to teach themselves. I tailor lessons to fit the student's stylistic preferences, while provided as holistic an experience as possible, offering note reading, music theory, improvisation, composition, apprenticeship.
Education
Bachelor's Degree. Much of my education was the result of an apprenticeship with a Professor pre-College,which provided me insight into the benefits and short-comings of learning via this method.
Experience / Qualifications
Professor at Warren Wilson College and Haywood Community College. I have also taught private lessons at multiple studios including Jim Beaver's School of Music and Music and Arts, as well as classes at Tryon Fine Arts Center, the Hendersonville Boys and Girls Club, and many others.
