About Me

Hello, I'm Yilin, and I am passionate about making mathematics accessible and enjoyable for everyone. With over 4 years of experience in tutoring students of all ages and skill levels, I've developed a teaching style that is both effective and encouraging. I specialize in helping students prepare for school exams and standardized tests. I am familiar with UK curriculum on preparation of SATs, GCSE/iGCSE and A Level, and also International Baccalaureate (IB) PYP, MYP, and DP Maths syllabus.

For me, teaching is about building connections and understanding each student's unique needs and learning styles. I thrive on seeing that "aha" moment when a concept clicks for someone, and I work diligently to guide each student to those breakthroughs. I believe in a balanced approach to education where challenges are met with support and encouragement, ensuring that no student feels overwhelmed.

In my classes, you can expect a blend of structured problem-solving that targets your specific areas for improvement, coupled with creative methods that make learning fun and engaging. I also provide regular feedback and progress reports, so you and your family can see your development over time.

Join me in demystifying math, whether you are looking to improve your grades, prepare for college entrance exams, or simply gain a better understanding of this essential subject. Let's achieve your academic goals together!
