Classes guide students from the basic fundamentals of sketching to the complexity of painting a masterpiece. I begin with studying and finding your rhythm and motion using sketching exercises. Next we experiment with the structure of the human face/body and how to compose a subject on canvas. Finally, I teach the process of patiently building layers of paint to generate a complete vivid image that tells your unique story.

About Me

As a professional artist from California, I created a style of my own that does not follow traditional rules. I paint with opaque watercolors, acrylics and various mediums that generate vivid imagery.

The foundation of my art is the simplicity of sketching. Using my automotive engineering design background, I teach students the power of sketching with fluidity, motion, and rhythm. This technique will help define your own unique style. It is very important to have a style that separates you from other artist. I teach you to find your voice and embrace it because longevity and consistency is key in the art world.

I've had many successes as an artist from being feature on award winning wines to illuminating the walls of fine restaurants and salons. My true passion is painting live at nightclubs, bars, or any place where the atmosphere is electric and music fills the air.. in other words, “the ultimate art studio“. In addition to being a professional artist, I worked as a gallery assistant for 15 years in San Diego California where I learned exhibition preparation, marketing, and teaching classes in the teen art program.

I am also a freelance photographer and videographer and founded a video group in Barcelona where I use my artistic eye to capture to study the art of cinematography in one of the most beautiful cities in Southern Europe. As an artist, it is key to document your process and growth. I teach the basics of videography and lighting to promote and share your content with the world!

Education

I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington and I have long expansive career as a design engineer with Honda, Ford, & GM.

The piano is an orchestra in one instrument! Learning to play this instrument provides the basis for composition, learning harmony and developing musical skill. Age does not matter - I teach beginners to advanced players.

My approach is artistic and creative, meaning there is a focus on the strengthening of individual expression and abilities while learning the basics of music, how to play and perform , as well as how to compose.
Music theory is integrated into practical lessons so that an overall knowledge of music is achieved no matter what we study! At the same time I offer theory lessons on its own for those interested.

Students have the option of playing and learning for enjoyment/personal progress or passing piano and theory exams (Trinity, ABRSM).

Violinist with the Orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu and the Prague Philharmonic, I am a young musician with a master's degree from the Royal College of Music in London.

Whether you start playing from scratch, or if you are thinking of doing competitions or admission tests, I will help you achieve your goals. I have been giving private lessons to all kinds of ages and levels for more than three years, combining it with my own career as a solo, chamber and orchestral musician.
My goal is to pass on all the information my teachers have given me and boost your skills!

WHAT?
The classes will be between 45 and 60 minutes depending on your age, level and availability. We will focus on understanding the technique behind the instrument and from there exploiting its artistic potential to the maximum, always from a didactic point of view, enjoying and free of frustrations.
And to catch up on goals and way of working, the first class will be FREE!
If you prefer, we can also give the classes in English or French to improve those languages.

Hello! My name is Violeta and I am a writer and illustrator of children's literature. I have two books of my own published and I have been working as a teacher and artistic workshop facilitator for children and adults for 6 years.

The "Introduction to Color" course offers a comprehensive exploration of the principles and applications of color in art. This is a basic introduction to theory through practice. Throughout this course, students will examine color theory, exploring fundamental concepts such as the color wheel or color harmony.

In addition, the use of color in different creative contexts will be addressed, providing practical tools for its application in artistic and design projects. Through a combination of theory and practice, participants will develop a deep understanding of the impact of color and how to use it effectively to communicate ideas and emotions.

This course is designed to provide an introductory foundation in the use of color in painting.

Both beginners' introduction to drawing and other techniques, as well as development and experimentation. I specialize in printmaking and expressive drawing, but I also use wet media such as watercolor and others.
