I am a undergraduate at Exeter University studying Maths. I specialise in pure maths and statistics. I aim to go over any work the student has and practice tests as well as any general issues a student may have. I'd love to help involve more young people in maths, and show them what a university career in maths would look like.

This class is aimed at older students, but I am more than able to accommodate to younger students as well.

As a younger person I'm still able to empathise with a students problems and I have experience working with school children helping out with maths.

About me:
I graduated from the University of Warwick with a BSc in Economics in 2017. Since then I have worked as a maths teacher and middle leader at a school in England. In this time my classes have achieved GCSE results higher than any similar classes at the school have attained before.

Mathematics and science are very important subjects for the future of our planet but are often very hard to understand. My plan, as your tutor, is to break down the hard concepts in those subjects to a level that you can understand and once you have those concepts we will apply those concepts in the form of workbook exercises and exams. When I was a student, I struggled with these subjects myself, however, once my parents hired a tutor I started to see the drastic change in my work rate and understanding and now I can say that I graduated with a 2:2 in Chemical Engineering. Reading comprehensions and grammar will be taught according to what is required for each year group and finally with a focus on spelling, punctuation and grammar practise papers as will be completed during SATs. I cover a variety of comprehension style questions that are inline with SATs and will cover all the skills required including word meaning, retrieval and inference questions across non fiction, fiction and poetry examples.
