Hallo,

I am a Chinese American concert pianist and I have been residing in Europe (Paris, Berlin, etc) for decades.
I have over 30 years of teaching experiences dating all the way back to my student times at the Juilliard School, New York.

My teaching philosophy is to help my students to express their individualism through music. In order to achieve this goal the students are encouraged to master the basics of the art of piano playing, such as adequate technique, memory, understanding of basic music theory and historic backgrounds of the compositions, and last but not least, the ability to sightread music scores efficiently, which, unfortunately, has been ignored by numerously teachers to my knowledge.

As a person I am friendly, punctual, open-minded and patient. I always see my students as friends and like to discuss with them about music and beyond, and through this way I can understand my students better personally so as to help them more efficiently in their musical ambitions.

My multicultural background and teaching experiences in different continents/countries gave me unique insight to understand students from different parts of the world. I teach piano in English, German, and Chinese languages.

One can start music at any age. My students range from 4 to 86. Some started piano after their retirement!. So please feel free to contact me to discuss your individuals goals in learning piano.

About Me

As I already mentioned above, as person I am open-minded, reliable, patient and friendly. I see my relationship with my student as one of friendship. With my students I can discuss various topics, music and beyond. This way I can understand my students better personally which would enable me to design a method tailored specifically to their individual goals in music learning.
I am a person easy to be around with. Our lessons are conducted in a relaxed atmosphere. But I am also a goal-oriented person, and my top priority in teaching is to help my students to achieve their objectives.
I enjoy working with students of different personalities and different cultural background. Ultimately, music is the universal language that unites us all, which we can all share regardless where we come from.

I'm Mary from Berlin. I'm a teacher and piano composer with 15 years of experience and also teach at a music school. I also have a bachelor's degree in teaching English. If I should describe my piano lessons I would say that they are very playful! The talking and theory is secondary, most important is to play and then see how to listen and adapt from there. My students have fun, they enjoy our lessons, otherwise they don't practise and make progress :)
It is important that our lesson is making you more independant and secure to play and understand music on your own! I have teaching experiences since fourteen years, I studied music education, piano, harpsichord which I will use for your understanding. This year I will only focus on teaching people over 12 years old. If you live 15minutes by bike from me, there is the possibility to come to your home. Otherwise I will be teaching in Universität der Künste or at my home.

Hello! my name is Sarah. I have a certificate in Classical Piano Performance. I have years of experience in teaching music in different languages (Arabic, English, German and French).
In 2020 I finished my master's in Music Therapy in Germany. At the end of my studies, I did my research on online music playing and wrote my thesis on music interaction through online platforms which gave me a great deal of experience when it comes to online teaching. I offer piano lessons for children (from 7 years), teenagers and adults (no age limit). For beginners I use the Bastian piano school as basic material. I also offer music theory. This makes it easier to read music and you get a better understanding of the music. Additional material for technique (finger strength of foam for beginners and intermediate levels) is also offered if required.

Hello there!

My name is Sara and I'm a classical pianist and piano teacher. I have been a pianist for about 15 years and started teaching it a while ago as well. I offer lessons in 3 different languages ( English, Arabic and German) for both beginner and intermediate levels.

I believe music should be enjoyed and comfortably played, allowing people to both connect with it and understand while challenging them to express themselves in new and different ways. Music lessons are fun and will be set to make the student confident and comfortable in their playing. If any student needs extra time or space to feel secure and safe, I will offer as much understanding and security as I can.
