Oxbridge Entry Tutoring for English Language and Literature: Personal Statement, ELAT and Interview PrepI am an ex-Oxbridge student (I studied at Somerville College, Oxford, 2020-2023) offering tutoring and preparation aid for anyone thinking of applying to Oxford or Cambridge. I offer help getting to grips with the ELAT paper as well as help understanding how to prepare for your Oxbridge interviews. We can even start from the beginning and work on your personal statement.
Oxbridge applications have a very specific style to them that is often quite different to the teaching of English at most secondary schools. With specialised tutoring from a successful applicant, you can feel more confident about this process! My current success rate with Oxbridge applicants is 100%, however it is important to say that entry can never be guaranteed.

French communication skills and/or literature analysisFor people wanting to use french in everyday situations, I propose the communicative approach, focus on communication rather than grammar structures. This approach takes the focus off the language by stressing the content. The idea is to communicate fluently.
(If you were to learn how to repair a bicycle, for example, you would learn bike vocab then would then be able to communicate in French by using the relevant vocabulary and conveying their feelings, ideas and thoughts.)
For students wanting to learn French in a more literate approach, I propose analytic lectures of French classics, or any desired text. This can help for more elaborate grammatical structures and thorough vocabulary.
In addition to strengthening a more distinctive way of expression, you'll enhance your French culture

Communication Training (Professional / Personal) & Public SpeakingWhether your goal is personal or professional, speaking is a predominantly physical activity, relying on a body, a voice, a breath, a rhythm (diction) and an emotion (the imagination and the sensations, reflecting the involvement of the speaker in his speech.
How to send a clear message? How to make the difference, to make an impression? How to regain self-confidence and control the management of his emotions?
Knowing how to speak in public is now a necessity for the company and in the company. From a personal point of view, this is a vector for better relationships and optimal messages. On the phone, in a meeting, in front of a client or a banker (...), your public speaking must be effective and efficient with clear, simple and powerful messages, creating a match between the message received and the message sent.
Simple and pragmatic tools will be presented and then put into practice for: generating listening ● making an impression ● fostering trust ● generating need ● motivating teams by explaining a strategy ● getting messages across within groups.
Controlled, the method allows:
• improve self-confidence and stress management with the development of the speaker's fluency (verbal-bodily), his public speaking and his sense of repartee and improvisation
• to work on his ease, leadership, his NLP, his charisma, his creativity and to go towards a certain personal development, through a set of scenarios
* improve the characteristics of the spoken voice (timbre, pitch, intention, flow)
Completed by basic exercises (diction, voice, presence, breathing, presentation, time management ...), role plays, improvisations and simulations will be set up.
With the key words: pronunciation, rhetoric, verbal and non-verbal communication, diction / articulation, the sense of repartee, structured speech (...).
The goal is not only to focus on verbal communication but also on nonverbal communication, so as to make the control of his body, his voice (...), a real and lasting strength.
Depending on the interaction between the trainer - coach and the one who consults, there is no single way to operate: each type of session depends on the needs and difficulties of each.
In all cases, it is very often a question, while adapting to your own needs and after having precisely diagnosed your desired objective and the blockages encountered, to combine the theory (the bases of the studied concept, for example NLP / information asymmetry / the "how to say no" / the tools of non-verbal communication or the application of kinaesthesia) and its application (through exercises and direct applications).
For example, are discussed:
- the fundamentals of public speaking: breathing, gaze and body language
- diction and elocution: rhythm and range of your voice - management of your emotions and your emotional overflow (example: stress) - work on the body, to amplify your charisma and ensure consistency between your message and your body ... with the aim of:
* Enhance your presentation and arouse interest by focusing on your strengths, your qualities ... your personality
* Match the content and form of your message
* Improve your charisma, your self-confidence and the benefits of your emotional intelligence
Postgraduate School Training & Ivy league college in the United States, specialized and worked for over 13 years, in Europe and North America, in the field of communication and public speaking in renowned public and private international institutions, involved in forums and conferences, and focused on two areas: training and coaching, with the key words pedagogy and careful methodology.

These sessions also seem to be perfectly unanimous since they have the advantages of live (example: quality of the interaction), without its disadvantages (example: loss of travel time) with additional advantages (example: notes that can be re-read on the chat). In this context, the videoconference sessions for which you asked me to seem to suit everyone perfectly, take place very optimally and generate a certain enthusiasm (and a certain enthusiasm). French private lessons by university graduate in LettersHolder of a Master's degree in Letters and endowed with a solid experience in private lessons, I provide French lessons for students wishing to:
- consolidate their bases in grammar, spelling
- improve their language skills (allophone students)
- improve their speaking skills (conversation classes)
-profect the written expression
- prepare for ECR exams
- prepare for the written examinations at the end of the studies (maturity, certificate of completion)
- help with the writing of works of maturity (or other works of end of studies), of dissertation
- work on argumentative texts
- acquire a method to analyze literary texts
- learn how to perform bibliographic research
The course material is a Google Docs document that I create in which my explanations, possible links, exercises appear. By reading it regularly, progress will be faster. It can also be used in addition to other documents (files printed by school teachers and/or books) and has many advantages: automatic updating, downloadable on tablets and smartphones, simultaneous monitoring of what is writing.
For help with writing:
The objective is above all to acquire effective tools. The student will thus be able to learn to structure his ideas, argue coherently (and convincingly) and enrich his vocabulary. It is essential for me to have written work from the student between each lesson.
For analyzes of oral literary texts:
In order to optimize the time available (and to put ourselves in conditions closest to oral exams), we choose together an extract from a work that the student will have previously prepared before the lesson. This would take around 20 minutes at most, and ideally just a little before the meeting time. If necessary, I have the habit of taking a paragraph at random which would serve as a basis for analyzing a passage.
For the corrections of end of studies work:
so that the meeting with the student is at the most profitable, I ask him to send me his writings before the meeting.
Apart from my presence with the student, any course involves a preparation time before and after the lesson, including the work that I correct. My goal is to design an individualized course, so I take the time to write detailed comments on corrected work or tips to ensure maximum success for everyone.
For example, an editorial correction can easily be the subject of a detailed commentary of 4 typewritten pages.
For adults (FLE):
In order to optimally prepare the first ones, I take the initiative to inform myself in advance of their objectives / expectations. Whether to practice speaking in everyday life, the professional world or to practice oral presentations, I prepare either PPT or technical sheets in advance that I send by mail ( after booking on the website).
The other alternative is to make a PV of the course that I send (or that I print). Giving importance to keeping a written record on the one hand to better memorize the topics covered, on the other hand to better assimilate the spelling.
Of a general nature, a concrete situation that responds to the learner's needs is the starting point. From this situation, I address the essential grammatical points.

Clases de español para extranjeros: Speak Spanish Naturally! Native Colombian Teacher with Cultural InsightsHello! I'm David, a Colombian from Medellín. I am a young professional in literary studies and a Spanish teacher for foreigners. In addition to my degree, I hold a diploma in teaching Spanish and have three years of experience teaching at a school in Medellín, Colombia.
In our first class, the goal is to assess your current level and determine the best learning plan for you. Each lesson incorporates three key components: a conversational/oral segment, a grammatical and theoretical section, and a practical application. These three aspects help develop all the necessary skills for mastering a language.
Finally, in the practical component, I design activities based on the artistic and cultural expressions of South American countries. I believe it is important to explore the diverse artistic and cultural manifestations of Latin America because they serve as natural, authentic materials that showcase how people express themselves and use the language in different contexts. Often, this usage can differ from the grammatical rules we learn in class, making it a valuable complement to traditional language instruction.
