I always make sure all pupils enjoy their lessons giving a friendly and fun approach to them. Regardless of age and skill level I want my students to be able to enjoy their time practicing and playing. I can prepare students for all grades of the ABRSM or other boards exams and I complement the lessons with music theory and aural skills training when needed. I can also offer music theory lessons that being to complement music education, prepare for the ABRSM music theory exams or just to expand the knowledge in that area.
The approach for in-person and online tuition are quite similar. I effectively teach using both methods with great results in both. When online, I make sure they are of exceptional quality and the pupil gets the same results they would get in person. They are ideal if traveling is a limitation for the student or just want to take them from the comfort of their home using their own instrument.
If preferred, I can also give the lesson in Spanish.

About Me
I am a professional harpist based in South-East London. I own a Master's degree Trinity Laban Conservatory of Music and Dance. I also have two undergraduate music degrees, from the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón, in Spain, and a Bachelor's degree (hons), from Trinity Laban Conservatory of Music and Dance. I am actively playing with orchestras around London and Spain as well as doing solo and chamber work. I combine my playing with a passion for teaching and all kinds of educational activities, including carrying out workshops at schools, private teaching, community music and group teaching. I have taught several pupils from a very young age to mature students, all of them achieving excellent progress and results. I can teach pedal and lever harp. I have a pedal harp at home, were we can have the lessons if preferred by the pupil.

Marat
My name is Marat and I am a London-based pianist, musicologist and composer with more than 20 years of experience. I am also a dedicated and experienced piano, composition, music theory and music technology tutor offering excellent and in-depth tuition for any age or ability. I have been teaching extensively in schools and privately, and giving lectures at universities. I would be happy to share my passion and enthusiasm for music with you!

My musical path started at Moscow Jurgenson Music School in Russia at the age of 7 where I took my first piano and music theory lessons. After 8 years of full-time studying I graduated with distinction. In 2015, I graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London specialising in classical and contemporary performance (under Andrew Zolinsky) and music education. Recently, I have completed my masters programme at Goldsmiths, University of London specialising in contemporary musicology (under Keith Potter) and music management.

Since 2012, I have been performing and premiering contemporary classical music solo or with ensembles at various venues and events, including IKLECTIK, Arebyte Gallery, Sound Festival, Southbank Centre, Cheltenham Music Festival and Teatro Baltazar Dias (Madeira, Portugal). I am a core member of the New Maker Ensemble, a group dedicated to experimenting with various art forms of new music and performance art. I regularly write articles and album reviews about new music. I have given lectures and presentations on new music at various conferences and events, including the Gnesin Contemporary Music Week 2020, 2021 and 2022, the Gnesin Academy and ZIL Culture Centre. And I even have my own podcast about new music.

Tuition is open for both online and in-person classes. All ages and abilities welcome: from age 5 to adult learners, beginner to advanced. I teach from my flat in Surrey Quays, but can also travel to my students, in which case a travel fee will be added to the standard rates. I currently offer:

- Piano / Composition / Music Theory / Music Technology tuition
- ABRSM and Trinity exams preparation
- Playing for personal pleasure and learning
- Help with musical analysis

Sean
Hey! My name is Seán, and I am an Irish singer-songwriter based in London with 2 years of teaching experience. I teach a range of disciplines, including piano, guitar, vocals, songwriting, and music theory. Having taught students of all ages and different levels of musicianship, I am pleased to say that I have built long-lasting relationships with many of my students. With an emphasis on creativity and student input; my lessons allow students to discover their own playing style and musical direction.

I strongly believe that people learn best when they enjoy what they’re doing, and I incorporate this into my teaching style. I strongly encourage my students to bring their own ideas and suggestions to the lessons; that way they can learn a piece of music that they really like. With a background in classical music, I underpin my lessons with useful technical exercises that encourage dexterity, time-keeping and fluency. Finally, I encourage all my students to learn at least the fundamentals of music theory and sight reading. Striking a healthy balance between diligent exercises, music theory and fun musical expression, my lessons allow students to explore their musicality on all fronts.

Whether you’re a complete beginner, or you’re building upon your existing skills, I am here to help you reach your musical goals. Lessons are available immediately, looking forward to hearing from you!

Qualifications:
- Grade 8 Classical Piano - Royal Irish Academy of Music
- Piano, Vocal, and Guitar Training
- MA in Music Production, LCCM
- Decade of Songwriting Experience
- Frontman for Seán and the Late Bloomers
