Private dance lessons (salsa, bachata, kizomba) with an experienced teacher (11 years)Translate this text using Google Translate.

In these private classes, you’ll learn a partner dance such as salsa, bachata, or kizomba in a fun, relaxed, and personal way. Because it’s just you and me, every lesson is fully tailored to your level, goals, and learning pace, allowing you to progress much faster than in a group setting. My focus is not only on teaching dance steps and technique but also on helping you feel more comfortable in your body, connect naturally with your movement, and enjoy dancing without pressure. Many students start with little or no dance experience and appreciate having a safe space where they can make mistakes, ask questions, and develop confidence step by step. I have over 11 years of experience in a variety of dance styles, including salsa, bachata, kizomba, reggaeton, Brazilian zouk, and hip hop. Throughout the years, I’ve had the privilege of learning from some of the best teachers in the industry. It is my passion to share that knowledge with patience, enthusiasm, and genuine care for each student’s journey. Most of my students are complete beginners. They often come to learn a new skill, prepare for a special event, become more comfortable with partner dancing, or simply reconnect with their body through movement. What they value most is the personal guidance, the relaxed atmosphere, and the freedom to learn at their own tempo while still making noticeable progress.

What does a lesson look like? My philosophy is simple: practice is key. We dive into theory where necessary, but the goal is always to help you play better, not to rote learn. I want to get you ready as quickly as possible to play in a band, join a jam session, or simply play the music you love to hear. These are the standard ingredients of my lessons: - Songs & Repertoire: We'll quickly start by playing along to songs you enjoy. This way, you'll immediately put your technique into practice. - Creativity & Songwriting: You learn not only to play by ear, but also to create your own. How do you build a good bass line? How do you make sure it fits the drums? We work on your own musical voice. - Ear Training & Jamming: Do you want to be able to play along without sheet music? We train your ears so you recognize chords and melodies faster. We conclude every lesson with a short moment of improvisation: just dare to play and listen to what works. Feeling a bit stressed about improvising? No problem, so am I. I’ll happily help you through it, so you feel at ease in any setting. - Technique & "Theory at your fingertips": 1. We learn the neck of the bass blindly (where are the notes?). 2. We practice scales, modes, arpeggios, and inversions. Not as boring sequences, but as building blocks for creating more interesting bass lines. 3. For those who can read sheet music, we also include sight-reading. Can't read sheet music, but want to learn? Great, we'll do that. 4. We learn to play along with chord progressions. For absolute beginners: Have you just started? Then we will take our time to get the basics right. You will get to know the instrument well, and we will also cover music theory in an accessible way, so that you have a solid foundation. The end goal? That you feel confident on stage or in a rehearsal room, know what you're doing, and above all: enjoy playing.

Very friendly and patient teacher. She explains very well and also tells about Japanese culture. During the lesson we write everything down together so that you can always look back at the things you have learnt. She also does a great job at using material from previous lessons so you don't forget and also get a good feeling of progression. The lessons also have a lot of variety and are very interactive. Most important of all though is that the lessons themselves are very fun! Definitely recommend!

Yana is very sweet and is always willing to listen to your doubts and difficulties. I have only taken 2 classes so far. The learning process is slow if you really want to improve your technique. If you are looking to learn everything in one class, this is not the place. The only downside is the pricing on Apprentus fees, which seems a bit steep to me and teachers only get a cut.

Aika is a great teacher who pays attention to details and to your specific reasons for which you want to learn Japanese.
