Do you want your kids to discover the joy of drawing and painting while naturally picking up Spanish along the way?

Hello! My name is Rocio and I'm a Spanish Artist from Madrid giving private art lessons to kids in Brussels (Belgium).
I studied Fine Arts and Visual Design in Madrid and graduated in 2020, ever since I have been working as a graphic designer and part-time private art teacher for kids.

As an artist, I have a solid basis of materials, composition, shape and color, but I know those aren't essential skills when approaching art for the first time, the most important is the attitude towards it. As kids are always eager to try new materials, my lessons focus in experimenting through painting while having fun in the process, with the idea that painting is a really intuitive skill that everyone and anyone can enjoy.

I can teach the lessons in English, Spanish and/or French and adapt to the needs and language level of my students.
Extra information
I will provide the materials for our first lesson; however, for future lessons, I will kindly suggest the materials parents should get for the class.
Keeping a sketchbook is recommended, as it allows the student to track their progress and maintain their own 'art journal'.

About Me
I will be studying Arts, Media, and Society at the University of Leiden next year.
In the meantime, I'm keen to invest my time teaching kids to express themselves through paint while they observe the world around them and interpret what they see. My passion for art has always been stimulated by my parents since I was a child, as architects they taught me to be sensible for light, color, and shape.
Education
-Graduated in Fine Arts and Design in 2020
-Lived in Spain, The Netherlands, Ireland and currently based in Brussels
-Took courses on Drawing, Sculpting and Painting
-Enrolled in an Advertising Creativity Course
Experience / Qualifications
At the beginning, with no experience yet, I started teaching my little sister and her friends, and I quickly found great joy in sharing my passion. Once I settled in the Netherlands, I had the opportunity to give private lessons to children, directly in their homes, which allowed me to explore various teaching approaches.

Today, I am looking for other joyful moments like these.

INTRODUCTION
(scroll down for the course description — see below)

I'm a young professional in the film industry and have worked with partners such as Vice, Sony, Unicef and WWF, as well as many musicians, architects, non-profit organizations and independent creators. My experience spans director, editor, DOP, assistant editor, focus puller, author, electrician and production assistant.

I studied Cinema at LUCA School of Arts Brussels and Supermedia at UMPRUM in Prague. My strength lies mainly in combining music and cinematography: experimental video art, arthouse films, music videos, and dance and music films. I also completed training in team coordination, so I can edit efficiently and stay organised.

I work both for large companies and the music industry, as well as on small, independent project, depending on whether the music speaks to me.

I'll teach you how to edit videos and films, for personal or commercial use. My software of choice is the full Adobe suite; for sound I use Ableton, and to a lesser extent Pro Tools.

I've completed several artistic residencies as part of my own practice and describe myself as a multidisciplinary artist. My work has appeared in several international magazines with around 700,000 monthly readers, and has received international attention.
