About Me

I started playing the saxophone at the age of 7 and immediately took to it. For the past three years, I've been sharing my musical knowledge by giving lessons. I began teaching during my studies at the Grenoble Conservatory in Alexandre's class, where I graduated with honors in 2024 with my Diploma of Musical Studies. Today, I have the privilege of working with Simon Diricq at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, in the Bachelor's program. Outside of my studies, I perform with the Isatis sextet.
I enjoy playing music in groups and ensembles. It's something I like to share with my students by playing duets with them.

I normally use the book of Peter Wastall (titled Learn as you play) as support, but it is not mandatory. There are plenty of good books btw!

Are you an intermediate / advanced student?? I am sure you can still improve in all the basics, but on a different level. I'll teach you the importance of the "voicing" (technique named by the american saxophonist and pedagogue Donald Sinta) to improve your sound production and projection as well as the capacity of correcting and improving the intonation. You can learn all about phrasing and music interpretation, from tonal music until contemporary atonal compositions. And still, you can improve your playing together, practicing in duo on different aspects like tuning, balance, interpretation, performance etc.
