Hello!

Currently studying at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels for a master's degree, I have been giving violin lessons for adults or children for more than 10 years, for beginners or with experience already in the instrument.

Regarding children, it is from 5-6 years old (variable depending on the student) that violin training begins. For the youngest we start first with musical awakening (from about 4 years old and this can vary too) to introduce them to this wonderful world.

As much with children as adults, my lessons are always centered on a muscle relaxation essential to the progress of the instrumentalist. This will bring the instrument more comfortable and with better results.

Always attentive and flexible in front of the student, it will be a pleasure to meet you.

About Me

D’origine espagnol et dans le milieu francophone depuis 7 ans Benjamin étudie maintenant au Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles.
Il commence ses études de musique à l'âge de 7 ans em Espagne. Ayant passé par toutes les étapes de sa formation musicale, il obtient le diplôme au MEILLEUR ÉLÈVE de la section de cordes à son conservatoire à l'âge de 17 ans.
Avec 18 ans il commence son Diplôme des Etudes Musicales (DEM) à Toulouse et finit 4 ans plus tard pour partir à Bruxelles dans la classe de Aki Saulière.
Avec une large expérience dans la pédagogie autant pour adultes que pour enfants il est aimable, comprehensif et organisé. Toujours à l'écoute de l’apprenti et créatif pour faire évoluer l'élève.

Depuis septembre 2017 il est élève au Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles dans la classe de Aki Saulière. Aillant obtenu le bachelier il est actuellement en Master spécialité violon.

I propose a violin learning for all ages, without the need for prior knowledge of music theory and open to different styles of repertoire.

I did my Bachelor's studies at the Conservatory of Salamanca (Spain) as well as a Master's degree in Musicology and Aggregation at the University of the same city. Already in Belgium I continued my studies at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels by doing a Specialized Master in Violin and also in Baroque Violin.

In addition to my classical music experiences, I have also played gypsy jazz and flamenco and free improvisation.

The objective of the lessons will always be for learning music to be an enriching and pleasant activity. The repertoire and methodology will adapt to the interests and needs of each student.

My work is focused on listening (what to hear, how to listen well), expression (producing sound, what do we want to "tell" with his instrument through a given music) and sensations (posture , how to hold your instrument well ...). It will be done through a varied repertoire of songs, according to the desires and needs of the student.

In my classes I aim to transmit first of all my passion and love for music.
I like to prepare a personalized programme adapted to the level and exigencies of each pupil.
I also aim to include some violin duos, to be played with me during the lessons, as I believe playing with other musicians is one of the best ways to enjoy music and learn useful musical and technical skills at the same time.
Another essential factor in my classes is correct and natural posture while playing, to let music heal our souls instead of hurting our bodies! ;) I have been practicing Yoga for a few years, and have experienced the importance of good posture and targeted light stretching, especially for younger players in a phase of growth and change.
I like to help pupils to develop good technical skills in a fun way, always applying technique to targeted repertoire and keeping in mind that technique is nothing but a means of expressing ourselves through music.

Currently a student in psychomotor skills, I have been playing the violin since I was 5 years old, today I really want to humbly transmit what I know !! :)
