This is an online one-on-one yoga class that is suited for beginners who don't want to go to the studio but would like to start practicing Yoga. I will create classes for you based on what would you like to focus on, whether it is your breath, your core, or your back while keeping in mind that no two bodies are alike. This Yin Yoga & Guided Meditation class is the perfect practice to release anxiety, rebalance the nervous system, invite calmness and stillness into the mind, surrender to what is and go within. Yin Yoga is a passive, meditative, slow-paced style of Yoga. The postures are mainly floor-based and are typically held for between 2-5 minutes, Physically, by holding the postures for this length we are able to access the deep connective tissue, targeting the fascia, tendons, and ligaments. Energetically, Yin Yoga improves the flow of energy (or chi) in the body. This helps to release blockages or stagnation in the meridian lines (energy centers taught in Chinese Medicine). Because the postures are held for a long period of time, breath awareness and mindfulness are large parts of Yin Yoga. I am a certified yin yoga teacher and I offer 1 hour 30 minutes yin yoga experience. WHAT IS YIN YOGA Yin Yoga is a slow paced and passive style of yoga practice where postures are practiced on the floor in static way for an extended period of time ranging from two to five minutes. When combines with internal awareness yin yoga also becomes a highly meditative tool to cultivate inner silence, enhance awareness and explore the deeper realm of our consciousness. PROGRAM Class is very appropriate for beginner and advanced practitioners. In 1.30 hour class we will start with 15 minutes guided meditation then we will continue 60 minutes with yin yoga poses. These poses mainly work with lower of the body – the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine and focus on facia. The practice of yin yoga is based on ancient Chinese philosophies and Taoist principles which believe there are pathways of Qi (energy) that run through our bodies. We are opening up any blockages and releasing that energy to flow freely. We will close our practice with breathing exercise such as Nadi Shodhana, Ocean Breath. Breathing exercises can have an effect on your state of mind, improve cognitive function and reduce symptoms of anxiety. The last 15 minutes we can have tea, my hand made glutem free sweet and talk about yoga, life, meditation.
