About Me
Vocal coach, singer, sound therapist, author, speaker
After 7 years in the film industry in Paris, and 5 years as a skills assessment consultant in HR firms, Benjamine returned to the stage out of love for jazz ballads, and developed her repertoire on jazz and bossa standards.
She trained at the Aubagne conservatory, at the city of music, and during numerous workshops and courses (Marciac, Crest, Sète, ...).
In 2009, Benjamine created the Benjazz Quartet and presented her "Homage to Ella Fitzgerald and Duke Ellington", an elegant blend of jazz and contemporary dance.
In 2011, she created the New Benjazz Compagnie, and staged "Premières amours", a show where singer and actress respond to each other, on bossa rhythms with French texts.
Leader of the groups Soft'n Sharp, the New Benjazz quartet, and Smooth Attitude, Benjamine has developed a voice renowned for being soft, warm, and riff-driven, as well as an immense desire to share the themes she loves, whether well-known or less so to the general public.
After obtaining her vocal coaching diploma from Richard Cross (FovMaCo higher school certification), she created the Chalet de la Voix, between Aix-en-Provence and Marseille.
She led a total immersion jazz workshop in Rustrel every year in August (2014, 2015, 2016) and then had someone replace her to write her book "Conquering the Stage with Serenity" (published by Grancher in November 2018).
His experience and musical training have allowed him to confirm his position in the professional world of song, castings and renowned competitions.
Benjamine participated as a jury member for Si'T Culture, La Meilleure Voix, Le trophy Radio JM, Les Étoiles de nos régions, or La Provence a Un Incroyable Chanteur, and in Montélimar, the Tremplin des Étoiles.
Benjamine contributed to the success of three flagship events in the region by programming Les Mélodies en Sous-Sol (Aubagne 2009-2014), the Jazz'Med Festival (Aubagne 2013 and 2014), and 7 editions of Jazz sous les Tonnelles.
She now devotes herself to amateur and professional artists and the management of their careers.
