About Me

I am currently studying a Masters course in violin performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, and I completed a Bachelors degree in music at Kings College London before this, graduating with a high 2:1. I am extremely passionate about music, and I hope to pursue a career in performance. More specifically, I hope to become a theatre musician, working in pit orchestras.
I have extensive knowledge of all areas including performance, orchestral work, music theory, music practice, music history and more.
I completed grade 5 theory, and grade 8 ABRSM in both violin and piano. I obtained an A* in GCSE music, and then an A overall for A level music.
Although I’m based on london, I’m originally from near Cambridge, and have had plenty of pupils in the past, including both academic tutoring and instrumental lessons.
To earn money while I’m studying, I also work as a part time private nanny for a family in North London, which includes tutoring their 5 year old. Previous to this, I worked in a nursery for a year.

I am an orchestra performer with more than 15 years of experience. I offer instrumental tutoring both on violin and on viola, as well as music theory lessons.

I currently have a nice group of private students and most of them have decided to continuing their lessons going through skype and zoom in these challenging times.

You'll learn how to play confidently and with enjoyment, supported by a strong technique. The lessons will be held weekly, I'll give you directions on what books to use and when needed provide for learning material.

I am a New Zealand born Korean Actor-Musician who has been teaching violin for many years. I am a passionate Violinist who was trained classically from the age of !ive. I have been a concert master at regional Orchestras in Seoul, South Korea.

I always make sure all pupils enjoy their lessons giving a friendly and fun approach to them. Regardless of age and skill level I want my students to be able to enjoy their time practicing and playing. I can prepare students for all grades of the ABRSM or other boards exams and I complement the lessons with music theory and aural skills training when needed. I can also offer music theory lessons that being to complement music education, prepare for the ABRSM music theory exams or just to expand the knowledge in that area.
The approach for in-person and online tuition are quite similar. I effectively teach using both methods with great results in both. When online, I make sure they are of exceptional quality and the pupil gets the same results they would get in person. They are ideal if traveling is a limitation for the student or just want to take them from the comfort of their home using their own instrument.

My passion for music induced me to apply in the “Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria” in the course of Harpsichord as my principal study. After 10 years studying music and obtaining the diploma of “Grado de Enseñanzas Profesionales” in the conservatory, I developed a deep interest for Classical and Early music for keyboard instruments.

Discovering a historical and musical universe, I decided to continue my performing and theoretical investigation studying the bachelor course in keyboard instruments including piano, harpsichord and organ. I had the amazing opportunity to obtain a scholarship and study at the "Conservatorio Tartini di Trieste", in Italy. Working with exceptional teachers, i was able expand my linguistic abilities and cultural appreciation for the expressive diversity of Keyboard music. I have discovered the magnificent variety between many composers all around Europe and the distinct features and techniques they utilized to improvise and to embellish their pieces. During this artistic journey, i have had extraordinary performance experiences as a soloist including playing at the Parlament of Brussels and the National Gallery in Bosnia. Recently, living in London has inspired me to take part in a wide variety of exciting projects such as performing as a keyboard accompanist in Opera Scenes and with the Guildhall Baroque Orchestra in the Milton Court Concert Hall.

Guitar is a wonderful instrument that has served it’s place in music for centuries. From Mozart to Jimi Hendrix to Tim Henson, the guitar, although humble in nature, has a lot to provide!
