Hi, I'm Charlie, from Oxford in England, and I offer classes in English as a foreign language to learners of all ages and abilities, whether it's preparation for school exams, help with professional language, or just self-improvement. I can help you get headed towards whatever goal you've set for yourself.
I am CELTA qualified (Cambridge English Assessment) in teaching English, and therefore have lots of experience in teaching learners of many different languages, at Upper Intermediate and Lower Intermediate levels.
I can supply you with all of the worksheets and exercises you need; we can work on anything you'd prefer and feel you'd like to improve: speaking, writing, reading or listening.
I can also speak French if you would feel more comfortable to begin with, but I assure you that after a week we'd be having some interesting conversations in English!
Having taught both individuals and class groups, I find that a learner can make progress a lot quicker when they have the constant attention of the tutor. And, of course, I can easily change my lessons to suit your needs! I believe the key to good learning is communication, and we can discuss any questions you have about the activities we are doing or your rate of progress.

Use an excellent teaching method based on all communication. Memory is constantly stimulated thanks to images, associations of ideas, the use of exciting contexts... This method works very well for all ages and all levels.

3 good tips to learn a language

1) Listen a lot

This is essential. And easy, for English. You can watch movies or series, subtitles in French at first then in English when you are more comfortable. You can listen to the songs in the lyrics ("lyrics" in English).

2) Many speakers

Also essential, find a teacher who has a good conversation, or a friend, college... Speak even if you lack vocabulary. Mime the missing words, draw, make yourself understood at your level.

3) Read simple things

Books for children can be a wonderful tool of progress. Roald Dahl's books for example (Fantastic Mr Fox, Charly and the Chocolate Factory...) the series "the worst witch" by Jill Murphy. Comics too.
