I specialize in tutoring math for secondary school students.
My goal is to keep students challenged, but not overwhelmed.
I assign homework after every lesson and provide progress reports.
Reviewing classroom or curricula topics and assignments
Assisting students with homework, test preparation, papers, and other academic tasks
Working with students to help them understand key concepts, especially those learned in the classroom
Explain and demonstrate the mathematics material they are learning in variety of ways to help them understand it
Provide tips for studying and ample practice opportunities, such as math division drills, so that they can develop mastery of the material.

About Me

Teaching or assisting others for me is a passion. I want the best for my students and want them to aim high and achieve their goals. I set high standards for my students as I am 110% committed in helping them improve. It is better to aim high and miss than to aim low and hit. I like students who are 110% committed as I am because tutoring is like any relationship in order for it to work, last long and progress well both parties have to put in the same amount of effort. It is a two way street.

I prepare my own examples from various sources for every topic thought to ensure the student understand the concept. Therefore the student needs to update me on every new topic they start in class. I also set up questions on topics covered in class for test and exam preparation. There are many methods to solve a problem. I teach my students various method. However I always advice them to go for the much easier method while keeping the other(s) in mind because it could be used to verify their answers and be confident in their solution. I teach them to be confident, open minded and to always seek improvement when it comes to learning.

Education

I completed my studies at Cape Peninsula University of Technology and I hold a National Diploma (ND) qualification in Civil Engineering. I also hold a National Senior Certificate (NSC)
