Hi, I'm Jonathan.

I am an English native speaker with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Post graduate Degree in Primary School Education.

I'm currently teaching English as a second language across schools in the Milan area and also provide private tuition lessons to help students read, write and converse in English.

About Me

Recently relocated from London, teaching and tutoring children is a passion of mine.

I make learning English fun, interactive and something that children want do.

I am happy to teach children who have no English experience at all, those who have some basics and want development with conversation and those who want to take things further with reading and writing.

Whatever their level, I want to help.

Education

I have 11 UK GCSE's and 4 A levels.

I have a Bachelor of Arts upper second degree in International Business.

I also hold a Post Graduate Certificate in Education - Primary School 5-11 years of age.

Experience / Qualifications

Taught across 3 UK Primary Schools - teaching the English National Curriculum subjects (English, Science, Maths, Geography, Music, Physical Education).

Carried out private one to one tutoring sessions to prepare students for exams. Also private tutoring for students where English is a second language.

I love to tutor children to help them reach their academic goals and also help them develop socially.

I base the lessons on oral conversations, which will let appear vocabulary lack or grammatical uncertainties. Then we can swith to writing and books where I find usefull to use many everyday's life examples for 3 reasons :
- to make sure that the idea has been understood
- to favor the anchor in long-term memory
- Because a language is a living matter, and because I consider that a well-integrated rule is something that you can use naturally.
That is why it will be made of goings and comings from talking to writing in order to maintain a balance between lifely and rigorus lessons and languages.
For very young children it will be made thank to the same way of thinking but, of course, without writing. I privilege immersion while playing age-adapted games.
