WIth the passion for art and architecture, and both drawing and painting, I would be happy to share the knowledge I have about art (and architecture!). Lessons will be adjusted depending on your level and preferred direction. You can expect to learn from the basics of how to hold a pencil correctly - to training in portraits. I work in variety of methods and materials (can be seen on my website), therefore my knowledge is diverse. We can either explore which materials suit you more, or directly tackle the ones that have your preference.

Other than the art school that I completed in Moldova, I also have experience teaching architecture drawing at TU Eindhoven. I have extensive knowledge of perspective and construction of shadows, and tips and tricks that can make your architecture drawings stand out.

My aim is not only to teach you techniques but also to help you discover your strengths, develop your visual language, and find an approach to art that feels personal to you.

Extra information

The materials needed for the lessons will be discussed individually, depending on the techniques and materials we choose to work with. For the first in-person lesson, I will be happy to provide the necessary materials. For subsequent lessons, students will be responsible for bringing their own materials.

About Me

Somewhat of a Eastern European yapper who ended up being an architect and have been drawing for ages now. I am from a small country called Moldova, and it is fine if you do not know anything about it. I can show you the paintings and you will see. Other than art and architecture, I love wiritng and am singing in a rock band. Long story short, all over the place, and would love to share everything I know about art.

This is a class for anyone who loves to create and appreciates the beauty and hidden wonders of life. With activities ranging from painting, drawing, collaging, and even making sculptures out of found objects, learn and/or improve your art skills by pushing yourself a little, or a lot, with this class. If you are an absolute beginner, or a professional seeking to diversify your practice, these lessons will undoubtedly challenge you as an artist. You have the freedom to explore whichever field of art you want, just let me know, and I will do as much as I can to guide and teach you the necessary skills with fun and educational exercises. I have more than 5 years of teaching experience, and am a former art teacher for children between the ages of 3 and 15. I have prior art tutoring experience, so you (or your child) will most definitely be in good hands!

Do you want to learn how to draw like a professional? In our classes, we cover both the technical and the conceptual part of drawing. We are going to develop your first projects with constant feedback, and use creative exercises to ensure your progress and to keep your creativity flow.

I have a diploma in piano pedagogy. I studied didactics and methodology for teaching piano. I use modern methods and piano books. I have a big collection of music sheets available for my students. I am also interested in discovering historical methods of piano pedagogy that were used by the biggest composers such as W. A. Mozart and J. S. Bach.
My experiences: I've been teaching for 12 years and have taught almost 40 students, among them around 5 adults. I have an individual approach that will fit your needs, for instance, we can strictly follow the piano books, or we can improvise and play songs without music score or without talking about music theory. This is an individual course design depending on your request and your starting level. Each course includes lessons filled with instruction information, practice time and homework assignment. You can begin with Level 1 and continue further or choose to start on a specific level.

Level 1 - This course is an absolute beginner level. You can hold a pencil and a brush but the starting is so stressful and confusing. You're scared of making a mistake, you don't know where to begin, you're getting lost when it comes to composition or shading whenever you start to draw. I GOT YOU! Those are very common feelings when you start to draw and it can be discouraging, give you a feeling of being stuck or just very dissatisfied with your art.

In this course I will guide you through basic traditional art techniques such as pencil sketching, pen and ink drawing, watercolor, and acrylic painting. We will be studying composition, forms, shapes, structure and texture of different objects such as fabric, furniture, animal fur, plants etc. I’ll show you how to achieve depth in your shading, how to understand light, and the effect of fragility of plants or hardship and reflection of metal. I’ll teach you observation, things to look for in the drawing, but most of all I'll give you tools for future independent learning that will save you tons of time while figuring on your own!
The key to success is your motivation and time you will dedicate to your homework practice.

Level 2 - This course is directed towards people who have some basic understanding of traditional art media techniques such as pencil sketching, pen and ink drawing, watercolor, and acrylic painting. Your art is currently your hobby, but you would like to change it into a career? Know more about art as a business model, get insights into career tips and opportunities. Or do you want to improve your sketching skills, learn to digitise your work, create digital illustrations in Procreate, or combine it all in your own unique way?

Level 3 - Advanced. It will focus on your specific desire as an artist and adjust to your skills and technique preferences. During the first introduction skills, I’ll provide some exercises to see how you work and together we will find the way we can work and improve.

Art Courses are a playful, hands-on after-school art workshop for children ages 7 and up (and curious teens or adults too!), where creativity, self-expression, and teamwork come together. In small groups, participants explore painting, drawing, sketching, and crafting with a wide variety of materials—like acrylics, pastels, pencils, collage, and mixed media. Each session offers something new: from experimenting with techniques to working together on imaginative projects that encourage collaboration and confidence. The workshops are based in Rotterdam, but I’m also available to travel to Den Haag and Delft, depending on interest. Classes can be held at you own personal space, making it flexible and accessible.
