I am a tutor in English Literature based in Edinburgh. I am currently in my third year studying English Literature at the University of Edinburgh. During the holidays I live and work at home in Somerset.
My primary goal as a tutor is to develop a positive working relationship with my student to best address their academic needs and objectives, whatever these may be.
I am able to work with students of varying abilities, assisting some to reach A*/Level 9 grades, and others to push up their grade to a pass. With all students, I aim to instil self-belief in their abilities and motivate them to become confident independent learners.

My sessions are always tailored around the needs of the individual and are structured around progression and, where needed, reassessment of goals.

Conversational Spanish is a very important part of the learning as it is the natural way to learn it. My classes are designed to help students to learn in a natural way by choosing a topic and dealing with that topic from all angles: grammar, speaking, listening and translating. That helps students to gradually absorb what they are studying. I usually conduct a relaxing lesson where students feel they can improve and learn at their own pace.
Even if you are an absolute beginner you will be able to speak some Spanish by the end of the first lesson.
