Experience / Qualifications

Katherine is experienced in teaching all age groups from year 3 to adults, and from beginner level to Grade 8. Before becoming Head of Strings at the Aldgate School Katherine taught at the Centre for Young Musicians and for Haringey Music Service.

As a professional musician Katherine has performed with the BBC Ulster Orchestra, the RTE Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. Katherine has also performed with many pop stars including Robbie Williams and provided live music for several productions at the National Theatre. Katherine studied at Cambridge University before undertaking postgraduate performance studies at the Royal Northern College of Music.

I am a classically trained professional pianist, with 16 years of teaching experiences of all ages and levels. I have many experiences in performing, competitions and accompanying singers/instrumentalists in concerts and in music exams. I am very familiar with the ABRSM exams and I have many successes with students passing ABRSM music (Grade 1-8, and Diploma) and theory exams (Grade 1-5) with very good grades. Bass player Eoin is a seasoned industry professional who has worked all over the world with some of the music industry’s most highly-regarded players over the past 13 years including Mark Lettieri (Snarky Puppy) and Ariel Posen. Eoin is now providing unparalleled music education in London and online.

Eoin has a wealth of experience as a music educator, having taught on the BMus, Cert HE, BASW, BACM and MMus programmes ICMP in London since 2019 and also running his own private teaching practice.
