About Me
I am currently a PhD candidate in the Insitute of Sinology at the University of Freiburg. Before this, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language from University of Jinan in China and a Master’s degree in English Literature from the University of Liverpool in the UK. I specialize in one-on-one communication and design tailored lesson plans for each individual student. I also welcome discussions with my students to understand exactly what they need, because I believe an effective speaking course depends on the collaborative effort of both teacher and learner, and therefore offers a high degree of flexibility in its details.
I personally enjoy using a wide range of Chinese pop-culture materials—such as films, animations, games, and web series—as supplementary teaching resources, making my courses especially well‐suited for students interested in these areas.
