About Me

Hello there! I'm originally from Ireland, I'm 27 and I've been teaching for over 5 years. I've taught kids as young as 4 in Spain, teenagers in Ireland and Thailand and adults across several countries. Outside of teaching, I am also involved in International Development, and I work as a trainee at UNITAR in Geneva, the training arm of the UN.

In my free time, I enjoy cooking, swimming, travelling, watching films and politics. My perfect morning involves a large pot of coffee and a newspaper.

My methodology: Learning to structure one's thoughts to express oneself better
My approach is based on a simple observation: success is not achieved through lack of effort, but often through a lack of method and confidence. My role is to transform subjects sometimes perceived as abstract (Philosophy, French) or intimidating (English) into concrete tools for success.

The typical course of a session:
1. Quick diagnosis: We start by identifying the areas of uncertainty from the previous lesson or the difficulties with a specific exercise.
2. Taking action: No boring lectures! We work on concrete exercises, essay plans or oral practice (in English) to "learn by doing".
3. The "Montreal Method": Having worked for two and a half years in Quebec, I use a North American pedagogy that is very focused on encouragement, clear structure and student autonomy.
4. Summary & Objectives: We end each session with a recap of the key points so that the student knows exactly what to revise.
