About Me

My name is Mathias, I am 21 years old and I am a student at the University of Geneva in the last year of a Bachelor in translation and conference interpretation. I am a relaxed, kind, efficient and hardworking teacher who seeks to convey the joy of speaking English and Spanish. Hi! I’m a native English speaker and CELTA-qualified teacher, and I love helping people feel more comfortable and confident speaking English.

Before moving back to Geneva, I worked with NGOs in Greece supporting refugees and asylum seekers. As part of my work, I taught English to people from many different backgrounds and levels, as well as managing community programmes and volunteers. I really enjoyed the teaching side of my work — especially getting to know people individually and seeing their confidence grow.
