Physic and Applied Math (including advance mathematics and physics )
From 56.85 £ /h
PhD physicist and nuclear engineer with over 10 years of research experience at CERN and CNRS, offering tailored private lessons in physics and applied mathematics for university students and motivated high school students preparing for higher education.
I specialise in helping students build genuine understanding of the principles behind complex problems, not just memorise formulas for exams. My teaching adapts to your level, your pace, and your specific goals.
Topics I can cover include classical mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, electromagnetism, quantum physics, nuclear physics, radiation physics, applied mathematics, differential equations, linear algebra, probability and statistics, and numerical methods.
I have a PhD in nuclear engineering from Université Grenoble Alpes, an MSc in nuclear plant design from Université Paris-Saclay, and a BSc in nuclear engineering. I have worked as a research fellow at CERN and as a doctoral researcher at CNRS, and I have supervised students and interns throughout my career.
Lessons are available online via video call or in person in Geneva. I am flexible on scheduling and happy to discuss your specific needs before we start.

Extra information
Please bring your course materials, lecture notes, and any past exam papers or problem sets you would like to work through. If you have a specific topic or concept you are struggling with, let me know in advance so I can prepare accordingly. A laptop is useful but not required.

About Me
I know what it feels like to sit in a lecture and feel completely lost. I also know the moment when something suddenly clicks and everything makes sense. That transition, from confusion to clarity, is what I find most rewarding about teaching. My goal is not to give you the answer but to help you understand the problem so deeply that you could find the answer yourself.
I believe good teaching starts with listening. Every student learns differently and struggles with different things. I take time to understand where you are before deciding where to go. Whether you are preparing for an exam, catching up on missed material, or simply trying to understand something your professor explained too fast, I will meet you where you are.
Physics and mathematics can feel abstract and intimidating. But they also describe everything around us, from the movement of water to the behaviour of atoms. I enjoy making that connection visible and showing students that these subjects are not just about passing exams but about understanding how the world actually works.
I am a nuclear engineer and research scientist with a PhD and over 10 years of experience working at institutions including CERN in Geneva and CNRS in France. I have supervised and mentored students throughout my career and I bring that same patience and rigour to private tutoring.
I am based in Geneva, fluent in English, French, and Arabic, and available for online sessions or in person meetings. I look forward to working with you.
