Effortless English Language Learning: Learn how to speak English fluently without studying

Effortless English Language Learning: Learn how to speak English fluently without studying

Effortless English Language Learning is my favourite method of teaching people USEFUL English to help them become confident English speakers fast, without studying or effort. Here is how you will learn if you choose to take this Course: During each session: STEP 1: I ask you "appropriate" questions to what's most important to you in your life. STEP 2: You reply as good as you can. STEP 3: I correct your English where necessary, your pronunciation if needed, and help you say what you actually are trying to say (FYI: I have 18 years of experience in teaching English ). STEP 4: Together we create a script, a piece of text, for your next 1-minute English ListeningExercise. STEP 5: After the session I professionally record your tailor-made 1-minute English ListeningExercise. STEP 6: Your task is to listen to that ListeningExercise for 10 minutes every day with headphones. STEP 7: A week later (or less), you take your next session with me where you show me how well you can say your 1-minute English ListeningExercise from memory and we repeat the process. It doesn't matter if you have a beginner or mid-intermediate English level, if you follow these steps, then there is no need to focus on English grammar or sentence structure because that will come automatically to you. That's what I want for you: to acquire a natural English awareness that is focused and useful to your situation in your life, not mine, so that you can become the confident English speaker you intend to become and USE the English you've learnt on a daily basis. I'll be there for you as your English language coach and lift you up each time you need it or request it. So if you are looking for a 5-star teacher to improve your English fast, I AM that guy. That may sound arrogant but I strongly believe in myself and my teaching methods. And this is what sets me apart from rest. And if you also believe I am all of that, and you are committed to learning English and know what you want in life and where you're going, I am sure you'll give it a try. Life is simple.

Social Sciences and qualitative research for higher education (from bachelor to post-doc)

Social Sciences and qualitative research for higher education (from bachelor to post-doc)

I offer Social Sciences and qualitative research classes for university students in all levels. I have experience teaching and mentoring students at different levels of their academic formation. From classic social studies, to the most recent theoretical developments in Anthropology, Sociology, Political Sciences or History, I can guide you through the intricacies of social thought and research in a clear, motivated and exciting way. Who am I? A committed social scientist, MA and Ph.D in Anthropology, completed 4yrs post-Ph.D in political anthropology. I have conducted four different research projects, all of them focusing in southern African communities and dealing with an array of distinct topics (religious syncretism; memory and identity; local and state politics; literary practices; history making; power and authority). During my studies I have built a very consistent and broad theoretical and ethnographic knowledge, particularly, but not only, when it comes to the interdisciplinary field of African studies (a complex literature in which I feel very comfortable and able to navigate with full proficiency). I am a very experienced researcher (with more than 3 years of fieldwork experience in southern Africa), acquainted with all kinds of qualitative methods, from interviews, ritual analysis, archival work and social media research. I have much experience writing, assessing and tutoring research projects; peer-reviewing academic papers (including American Anthropology, Caderno de Estudos Africanos, among others); participating in thesis commission board; and as a university professor. Mentoring and teaching is truly my passion, and with a very consistent and mature knowledge of the literature you can expect a most precise, competent assistance. How do I work? * You have a specific topic to unravel: we will go to the button of it through an interdisciplinary genealogy of concepts and an attentive look to their uses in concrete situations. * You have an ongoing/finished paper: I will proofread your paper and offer you a logic schematics of your central argument. The idea is to first pull you out of the hurricane to identify its trajectory, and then push you back at its peaceful centre, were we can polish your ideas, cleaning unnecessary digressions and adding relevant data and literature. * You have/need a research project: I will read and comment your project in case you already have one and offer you with a schematic of the literature related with your topic so that we can identify relevant gaps in the literature. After doing that, we will consider your objectives and consider through pertinent questions for your research. * You are writing a thesis: I will first go through your research project and cross-check with you the actual results of your research. Once we have done that, we will analyse the nature and quality of your data, the span of the literature covered, chapters you might have already written, and, of course, the issues that excites you most. The idea is to identify where your strength is and what can be done do reinforce your arguments (more research, if possible; or literature review, if necessary). All this will be done with organizational support, helping you plan and schedule your writing with confidence, grace and, most importantly, no suffering!

Piano lessons for all levels in Ghent (Dutch/English/Spanish)

Piano lessons for all levels in Ghent (Dutch/English/Spanish)

English below* Hello everybody! My name is Alejandro. I am a professional classical pianist with a bachelor and two master degrees (one in the conservatory of Ghent "classic piano performance master" and another in Spain "teaching master"). At the moment I am also studying another master classical fortepiano in the Conservatory of Amsterdam. I have a lot of experience teaching in various music schools, professional academies and also privately. I have given piano concerts in several countries such as Spain, England, Italy and Belgium, so I am quite open minded in my teaching and I try to adapt my experience abroad to all types of students. I mainly teach in English, Dutch and Spanish. My lessons are focused on the individual needs of the student, taking into account what each student has to improve. Enjoying music is the most important goal in my teaching method. I can mainly teach in the student house, but I have my own keyboard in my home in Ghent Center. Online is also an option (I also have experience with this way of working). I am always available for students to send questions or doubts during the week! Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have. // Hello everyone! My name is Alejandro. (Viola da) Gamba lessons in Ghent for all ages and levels

(Viola da) Gamba lessons in Ghent for all ages and levels

The (viola da) gamba is a bowed string instrument that was popular from the mid-16th to the mid-18th century. Like the recorder, the instrument comes in a variety of sizes, from small instruments in the register of the violin to large double bass ones. The best known and most commonly used type is the bass viol. The bass viol can best be described as a cross between a cello and a guitar: the tuning and left hand technique are close to the guitar, but playing position and bowing are reminiscent of the cello. Film buffs know the instrument from the movie 'Tous les Matins du Monde' in which the gamba music of Ste. Colombe and Marin Marais is central. The instrument is also known through the passions of JS Bach, in which it plays a prominent role. But the instrument also has a rich and diverse repertoire, ranging from late renaissance to early classical and an increasing number of contemporary pieces. I studied gamba at the royal conservatory in The Hague with Wieland Kuijken. In the meantime I have about 30 years of experience in giving gamba lessons to children, young people and adults, ranging from absolute beginners to advanced players. In addition to the technique and the interpretation of the music on the instrument, I also offer support in the field of music theory and the historical context of the music. In addition to private lessons, I also teach gamba at music academy 'De Poel' in Ghent, the Municipal Conservatory of Bruges and KASK & Conservatory of Ghent.

Chinese language (Mandarin) and culture for all levels and ages

Chinese language (Mandarin) and culture for all levels and ages

With my thorough knowledge of the Chinese language and culture, we will search together for the appropriate way to master the language. In my experience, everyone learns in a different way, so we will find out together what is the most fun! I graduated in 2017 as a Sinologist at Ghent University (Chinese language and culture). I also obtained a master's degree at Sichuan University (四川大学) (2018). After that, I spent a few years in China. In addition to a basic course with an emphasis on oral, I create lessons that go beyond just language. Chinese language is embedded in culture and history, so we also take a moment to reflect on that. I have experience with private lessons for adults who move to China as expats, but the lessons are flexible and for all ages! Lessons: I use a basic Chinese course but there is a lot we can fill in ourselves. What kind of series/films do you like to watch? Is there any music you like to listen to? Through these questions I can recommend certain Chinese music and series that we can work with. For example, instead of homework I will give a film to watch, this way we learn through absorption instead of forcing ourselves to remember everything. If it is fun, everything sticks better! Would you like to focus more on speaking instead of writing or vice versa? That is possible, in which situations would you like to use Chinese? For work or for a trip? That way we can adapt the lessons to personal wishes. Once we have progressed a bit further, I also organize lessons and dinners with Chinese friends in Ghent or Brussels, so we can practice with real "native speakers". Please let me know if you have any questions, See you soon, Tommy
