About Me

I have been playing the piano since 6 years old and have been studying piano (bachelor's and master's degree) with well-known pianists such as Igor Ardasev, Helena Weiser and Daan Vandewalle, and participated in several masterclasses in European countries.

I have also an education (state exam) in piano teaching, psychology and general pedagogy.

The most important for me is to feel freedom while playing an instrument and enjoy music as much as possible. I am also interested in psychology and in techniques that can help overcome stage fright.

I will gladly try to help you to achieve anything you dream about in piano playing, music theory, and maybe more!

I am an Italian student of Violin, currently attending the Postgraduate Musical Performance Practice at KASK & Conservatorium in Gent.
I already have experience in teaching music and violin to children, teenagers and young adults. In those occasions, I discovered how much transmitting my love for music to other people - children, teenagers, adults, any age! - is one of my highest goals within my musical career.

Today - after completing an extensive selection procedure - Laurens is professionally active as a clarinetist with the Royal Marine Band, one of the prestigious orchestras of the Belgian army.

In addition to his education at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent, Laurens has had the opportunity to learn several times in a number of masterclasses by, among others, Arno Piters (Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra), Davide Lattuada (Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra), Bart de Karter (New Amsterdam Clarinet Quartet), Pascal Moragues (Orchester de Paris), Ricardo Mataredonna (The La Monnaie Theatre), David Van Maele (Royal Music Chapel of the Guides), Bart Watté (Royal Music Chapel of the Guides) etc.

I'm an electric guitarist for 17 years. I've been teaching guitar for 7 years and performin live for 10 years. Currently, I'm a masters student at KASK & Conservatorium.

Depending on your preferences in terms of genre and goals on the instrument (just keeping it as a hobby or getting professional at it), your curriculum will be shaped. Also it will be conducted while studying your favorite songs. One of my main goals is for you to be able to accompany your favorite pieces and understand the ideas behind those pieces better.

Lessons can be conducted both in English and Turkish.
