I offer flute lessons in English for adults, beginners and intermediate players in Ghent and online.
Whether you are starting from the beginning, returning to the flute after a break, or looking to develop your existing skills, lessons are adapted to your individual goals and interests.
Alongside classical flute technique and repertoire, I also work with improvisation, ear training, contemporary music and extended techniques. My aim is to help students develop a solid technical foundation while also becoming more confident, creative and independent musicians.
With over 10 years of experience in flute teaching and a background in contemporary music and performance, I welcome students who want to learn in a relaxed but focused environment.

About Me
I'm a flutist, composer and improviser based in Ghent, Belgium, with a strong background in both classical and contemporary music.
I see teaching as a collaborative process. I try to understand each student's interests, goals and way of learning, and adapt my approach accordingly. For me, developing a strong technical foundation is important, but so are musical curiosity, listening, creativity and finding your own voice as a musician.
I enjoy working with students who are completely new to the flute, as well as those who already have experience and want to develop further. I am particularly interested in helping students explore improvisation, contemporary music and different approaches to sound, while keeping the lessons practical and enjoyable.
I teach in English, both online and in person in Ghent.

Experience / Qualifications
I have over 10 years of experience teaching flute and music to students with different ages, levels and musical backgrounds. My teaching experience includes private lessons, music academies, university-level teaching and workshops, and I currently teach students in Belgium as well.
Over the years, I have worked with beginners as well as advanced students, helping many of them develop to a high level of musical and technical ability and continue their studies and performance activities.
I am currently a student of the Advanced Master in Contemporary Music at HOGENT – KASK & Conservatorium in Ghent, Belgium. I also hold a Master's degree in Flute Performance from the Art University of Tehran and a Bachelor's degree in Flute Performance from the University of Tehran.
Alongside classical flute technique and repertoire, my teaching includes musical expression, sight-reading, ear training, improvisation, contemporary music and extended flute techniques. I have also led workshops on improvisation, contemporary flute techniques, and body, mind and flute practice in Iran and Belgium.
As a performer, I have extensive experience in classical and contemporary flute repertoire, orchestral playing, chamber music, improvisation and interdisciplinary performance. This background allows me to adapt lessons to each student's goals, whether they are learning for personal enjoyment, returning to the instrument, preparing for further studies, or developing their performance skills.
