Digital audio work stations are powerful computer based software which process analogue signals and digital information in order to reproduce sound recordings. They can then be edited, manipulated and produced into music with manifold applications and an increasing variety of options.

As a sound producer I have over ten years of experience with different DAWs from Protools, to Studio One and am happy to guide students on how to effectively record their own music from home.

I am an international contemporary art curator with 15 years experience working with public and private collections. I am currently undertaking a PhD, developing alternative contemporary art narratives within heritage collections.
This course is intended to students andadults who want to familiarise with curatorial practice prior to undertake a Master, to current students in curatorial pracitce for further advice and tutorials, as well as to emergent artists or students in contemporay art who ned further support in working with a space.

Due to the flexible nature of the course, what I offer is:

We will start by getting to know each other and together decide what you would like to explore and gain from tutoring sessions. I am flexible to support you or your child with different art forms- over the years I have worked with painting, drawing, collage, film photography, dance, performance art, sculpture, experimental printing, textiles, writing, land art, sound installation. I work with a focus on the making process over the outcome, experimental making, thinking outside the box, and playing with elements of freedom, accident and chance. I take an interdisciplinary approach to Art as connected to all the other subjects and systems in the world, with particular interest in science, nature and ecology.

Join this workshop and demonstration where you will learn how to create an expressive portrait, where we look at how mark making through brush strokes and the use of colour palette can make an expressive, meaningful portrait. Learn how to layer in watercolour.

What you will need:

- watercolour paper, preferably A4 or A3 size.
- a set of watercolours
- a selection of brushes
- HB / 2B pencil

I will have a portrait photo that I will have you work on, I will show you techniques during demonstration and will help throughout.
