About Me

I am a PhD student in Sports Psychology. I have graduated First Class with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Sociology and English and in high school scored 95.03% overall in Humanities and Social sciences. As a PhD student, I specialise in Research Methodology and advanced psychology. I am a published academic author and have presented multiple research works in national and international conferences. In psychology, I specialise in positive psychology, neuropsychology, personality, social psychology and psychopathology.
I tutor all social science subjects including Psychology, English, History, Sociology, Political Science and Geography. I specialise in neuropsychology as well and therefore can teach Biology till 10th standard as well.
I am open to online and in-person tutoring
I have 3 years of extensive experience in teaching students ages 8 and above in all subjects of social sciences. I have worked with over 60 students in-person over the last 3 years
I speak and write 4 languages including English, Bengali, Hindi and German. I tutor spoken English, Bengali and Hindi. Being a PhD student, I have flexible timings which I can schedule around the needs of my students. I am currently based in Glasgow and can take an in-person class on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
My interests include reading and travelling. I have a working knowledge of concepts and theories in natural sciences such as physics and evolutionary biology. I am passionate about climate change and environmental protection.
My teaching style is usually expressive with practical examples and insightful questioning. I broadly follow the positive schooling paradigm via which each student progresses at their own speed of development and the teacher's job is to facilitate the creative and intellectual development of the student. I am comfortable with both structured and unstructured content delivery which usually depends upon the subject matter at hand. I have taken multiple activity-based and lecture-based workshops with over 40 participants per workshop.
This combination of Psychology and Sociology particularly was instrumental in my understanding of the reach and potential impact of these fields. Psychology and Sociology along with my internship and work experience have also sensitised me to the many realities of the social world, while also improving my abilities to work with people. My university studies provided me with a solid foundation of knowledge in psychology, and in research methodology upon which to base advanced studies on.
During my college years, I was very active in extra-curricular activities in order to add a more holistic perspective, practical skills and work with people. In 2016, I became the youngest globally licensed practitioner of Personality with Lumina Learning and in 2017 completed practitioner licensing as a Strengths-Coach, with StrengthScope. I have held the post of Representative (2016-17) and Treasurer (2017-18) of the Psychology Association in the department. In addition, I was the Student Coordinator in a Rehabilitation and Training programme with HIV infected adolescents that was facilitated by our university.
I have been actively engaged in research from my second year and have presented several papers in notable International Conferences, one which is published and another currently under review in an Scopus indexed Journal. This has allowed me to gain considerable experience in integrating, collecting and analyzing data, which will help in my postgraduate dissertation. I am also especially eager to contribute my knowledge and experiences to classes and research collaborations, while also learning from students and professors. Currently, I am collaborating with both students and professors in research projects, one of which is based on sports psychology. This present endeavour has allowed me to closely work with the various university sports teams in my University, thus giving me an experience of what I expect to do in my career. Over the course of two years, I have taken several workshops and training for students in my University, and am a facilitator in several Life Skills modules owing to my experience in the Snehagram-Camilians HIV Rehabilitation Program.
I have always had an ardent interest in sports, and have played football and lawn tennis in a formal setup from the age of 10, representing my school and my academy in competitive tournaments. To this end, when combining my passion for psychology as well as my interest in training-development, and sports, I hope to acquire an understanding of sports psychology through your graduate program. My career goal of being a sports psychologist took shape during the initial semesters of my undergraduate course. Being an intern at the Clinic of the University of Calcutta, working with clinical patients made me realise, that my talents would be better used as a training-based psychologist.

Education

I graduated high school scoring 95.03% in Humanities and Bachelor of Arts with a 9.07 CGPA
Am currently during my doctoral level studies in the field of Sports Psychology.

Experience / Qualifications

Multiple experiences teaching at Classes 10 and above for over the last 3 years.
Have taught pro bono with NGOs for primary education since high school years

Learn How To Read Tarot Cards For Yourself and Others
Tarot is an ancient way to access your deepest emotions and to picture the truth about yourself, others or a situation. While some use it as an instrument to see the future, I prefer to call it a communication tool with your higher self whose language we need to decode. In my classes I introduce you to Tarot and teach you how to perform readings for yourself and others.

Literature, Russian grammar, phonetics, morphology If you were born in the Russian family far from Russia and language of the country of accommodation was your main language, then the probability of loss of the Russian culture will be so high that hardly you will be able to approve belonging to this nation. Mathematics for high school, university and college students
I offer math tutoring for high school students as well as university and college students. I myself am a master student of civil engineering and I have almost four years of experience as a mathematics tutor through a recognized tutoring organization. Through Apprentus I have also been successfully giving tutoring for two years now. I gradually examine where the student's problem lies and then work on it to increase the chances of success as much as possible. I help both to understand the subject matter and to reform the study method. This can possibly be accompanied by giving homework to get a view of the student's progress. The lessons can take place via webcam, if desired. During school holidays I am also available for tutoring to refresh the subject matter, in preparation for a possible entrance exam or to update a curriculum backlog.

Scientific Consultation - Data Analysis - Statistics
Dear researchers, dear analysts, As you know, statistics are a powerful tool. Used properly, they provide us the means to characterize complex systems such as human populations or neural networks. I am Julien, doctor in physics from the University of Geneva. Previously, during my master's thesis, I carried out ab-initio calculations within a computational physics research group at EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology). Just like you, I know how much time some tools require in order to be understood and used properly. To you who realize the importance of understanding your tool in order to produce a serious study, you are right to seek advices. I will save you the time you need to work. Contact me without hesitation. Sincerely, Julien

Statistics Courses By a University Professor
In order to support students who encounter difficulties in statistics, remedial sessions on descriptive statistics and inferential statistics are offered in particular on: confidence interval, statistical hypothesis test, Paired data or not? "Normal" or not? Parametric and non-parametric tests, Confidence interval and "number of subjects needed" in estimating a proportion, Also the analysis of your thesis data (linear / logistic regression, anova, t-tests, principal component analysis, repeated measures, mixed models, time series, panel analyzes, fixed and random effects models, survival analysis, SEM, ...). Do you need to be accompanied to motivate you? I offer lessons to see or review together a chapter, a theme or others ... During these remediation sessions, I offer you various activities (Q&A sessions, resolution of standard exams, revision of concepts more difficult to integrate, etc.) which help students to fill in the gaps identified in previous courses. Passionate about mathematics and quantum physics, juggles with statistics on a daily basis in my BIGDATA research work, demystifies this test by the precise approach of the subjects via an adapted teaching whose key words - study methodology, - reasoning, and especially learning to reason differently - analysis and response strategies, - targeting of the problem - implementation of the link between theory and practice
