With over 9 years of teaching experience—from my beginnings in Athens, Greece to my current base in Graz, Austria—I’ve worked with students of all levels and backgrounds. Do you want to learn how to play saxophone or flute but don't know where to start? Have you been playing for few years already but lost your motivation and you feel stuck? Do you want to take your playing skills to higher level? Do you want to feel free when improvising? Do you want to know what is the theoretical background behind the music you love so much? I can help you with all of that. I offer saxophone and flute lessons in jazz (especially), but also classical, pop... you name it. Bring your favourite music pieces and I will help you to play them and improvise. In addition, I can help you with better understanding of music theory. Every student is unique, this is why I will do my best to find out what is the best and the most fun process for you to learn and improve fast.

Based on the student's needs and technical capabilities we will work together on a piece/song that a student might want to learn. Additionally, in order to improve the playing and to understand the piece better, we will work on the playing technique, harmony, and music theory of the piece/song.! It is possible for us to work in person also!

You can learn to play the classical guitar from the beginner to an advanced level on the lessons with me. My main goal is to teach my student very strong basic skills with which one can develop her-/himself later on her/his own. Hallo, Ich komme aus Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, und spiele Gitarre sehr gern! Deutsch: Von Anfänger bis University student, Ich kann dir E-Gitarre, Akustische Gitarre, oder Ukulele beibringen. Entweder ein paar Akkorde um deine Lieblingslieder zu spielen oder durch komplexerer Themen wie Jazz harmony. Ich lehre gern auch Musiktheorie/Komposition, also wenn du Theorie Nachhilfe oder Vorbereitung auf Universitätsprüfungen brauchst, dann kann ich dir damit auch helfen! With 16 years of guitar playing experience and Bachelors Degree in Jazz & Contemporary Popular music, I've had the opportunity to play Jazz, RnB, Folk/Singersongwriter, Bluegrass, Funk, Heavy Metal, Rock. From Jazz Bigbands and Musical Pitbands, to accompanying singer songwriters, to playing solo guitar concerts. I know how the guitar fits into many different types of ensembles and with many styles of music. I'm now studying a Master of Jazz Composition and Arranging at KUG in Graz and I love to help others understanding complex musical theory and how it can be used to write new music! I love writing music for Bigband, Classical Chamber ensembles, and small jazz ensembles as well as for singer-songwriters. English is of course my mother tongue but I would be happy to teach in German as well!

I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts. Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. I teach online via Zoom, using software which allows you to see the exact keys I'm playing on my keyboard. My teaching method is to focus on whatever type of music the student loves most, and to build from there. I believe that many people give up their dream of playing an instrument simply because they aren't inspired enough, so my goal is to instil a love for music, whatever that means personally for each individual student. Everyone learns differently and has their own pace and rhythm. I have some students who like to have a regular weekly or biweekly lesson, and others who just get in touch once in a while when they have digested the previous lesson and feel ready to build on it. Whatever the case, I am very flexible and we can figure out what works best for you. A bit about me: Originally honing my skills on the British jazz scene and holding residencies in restaurants and bars around the country, I then went on to tour the world playing on cruise ships, hotels and festivals. I returned to London to complete my master's in jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music, and during this time performed regularly at Ronnie Scotts, The Vortex and many other venues across the UK. I then spent two years in South America learning about salsa and Cuban music. I now mainly work as a transcriber, writing sheet music for all instruments including full Big Band scores. I have also worked extensively in musical theatre, most recently as musical director for 'Jersey Boys', and on the first US national tour of 'Summer: the Donna Summer Musical'.
