About Me

Hi, I am Umer. I am a passionate and patient teacher with four years of experience teaching Mathematics, English, and Science to students from elementary to high school levels. I specialize in simplifying complex concepts and making learning interactive, engaging, and stress-free. My goal is to help every student build strong foundations, improve confidence, and achieve excellent results.

I have previously taught Mathematics up to grade 12, including Algebra, Trigonometry, and Geometry, as well as English language skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking). I also provide IELTS preparation for international students.

Students describe me as approachable, encouraging, and result-oriented. I adapt my lessons to each student’s needs, ensuring they fully understand the subject and enjoy the learning process.

Mathematics is the language in which everything is explained from everyday activities to the complexity of the universe. However, one may need some help and practice to gain a deeper understanding or just to pass an upcoming examination be it to meet a requirement or for achieving good grades.

My name is Balazs Kovacs and I am currently studying physics at the University of Groningen. Because I have always loved teaching I organized a system in which tutors and students could be paired up. In 2023, I successfully completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at the same time as the Czech Baccalaureate exam at my high school. I enjoy mathematics, I had a special tutorial programme in it and as part of my extra-curricular studies I simultaneously studied mathematical analysis at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University in Prague. From September 2023, I am studying mathematics in English at the University of Groningen. I have 5+ years of experience in tutoring mathematics.

Hello, I am a mathematics masters student specializing in algebra, geometry and number theory. I have graduated from the university of Groningen with a bachelor in mathematics. As such, I've spent a great deal of time studying mathematics at a higher level and have become acquainted with a broad range of mathematical disciplines such as algebra, geometry, analysis, calculus, probability, optimization and more, this of-course includes any high school mathematics. During my studies I working as a teaching assistant whenever possible so I have some experience teaching.

In mathematics there are often many ways to come to the same conclusion and it varies from person to person what they consider easiest to understand. As such I try to get to know the student first and figure out how they may learn best. Personally, I rely a lot on intuition and deep understanding of concepts and so i try to convey to students the most essential and fundamental ideas before moving on, as well as, giving them interpretations of what is happening so that they may becomes easier to imagine and more tangible. In solving any problem, I think it is important to first sit back and understand what is going on before embarking on any calculation or proofs.

In a typical class I would first survey what the student already knows and discuss the concepts with them making sure they understand them very well then we would move on to discussing examples and non-examples (this would take most of the class). Finally we would solve problems together discussing them as we go along. This of course can vary from student to student, their level and time available.

I can help with making things as basic as algebra 101 to integrals seem interesting all while helping your child understand them through and true.
