I have a USA teaching license and a Bachelor's Degree in Childhood Inclusive Education (Grades K-6 and Students with Disabilities) from the State University of New York at Fredonia. My experiences include teaching at primary international schools in Belgrade, Serbia for 2 years and 3 years at international schools in The Hague, Netherlands. I have worked at two IB primary schools. Alongside teaching at international schools, I have 8 years of experience teaching English. I also have experience teaching grade 1 and 3 in elementary schools in New York State. I have taught children from 2-17 years old and adults. My students range in levels from beginners who are new to learning English, to fluent English speakers that need support or would like to further excel or maintain their fluency. Based on my experiences, I have learned to adjust my teaching style based on different students' needs, cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds, and learning abilities.

Lessons are provided to children and teenagers. Lessons are customized to the learning needs of your child. Whether that be learning English for the first time or practicing improvement of speaking, reading, comprehension, pronunciation, listening, writing, grammar, etc. Lessons can be aimed towards learning a topic such as food, animals, sports, emotions, and more.

For children who are fluent English speakers, tutoring can be given to further excel in particular areas. Subjects that interest the student such as science, history or world topics can be incorporated into the lesson to broaden their knowledge. Support can also be provided in learning organizational skills, research, and mini projects for older children. I am available to help with studying, homework, or school projects. For online learning, I use a variety of platforms, websites, educational games, and e-books to reach the learning goals of my students. Additional homework can be provided if requested.

I provide lessons for the Nt2 Staatsexamen and Dutch Nationalisation exam (Inburgering examen)and Business Dutch for ex-pats and people who want to learn everyday Dutch. In the citizenship exam course, students learn about history, geography and basic vocabulary which are the contents of the exam. They learn how to respond to basic questions. Besides preparatory lessons for (Inburgering examen ,citizenship exam ,I teach Business Dutch( Zakelijk Nederlands) to expats. Online lessons are delivered through Google meet and Ms Teams and other online platforms. The lessons are conducted online as well as at a location in The Hague. Both private and group lessons are available.

I take pride in saying that all my students who I prepared for Dutch exams passed their exams with high scores:)

I explain the grammar by giving you the rules and examples from everyday life and from pop music.

My name is Ieke and I have been teaching since 1995. I worked as a primary school teacher from 1995 until 2008 and later specialised in teaching Dutch as a second language (NT2). This combination gives me both educational experience and a strong understanding of language learning.

My name is Louis, I am a 23 years old and am a native English speaker. Before The Netherlands, I have lived in the UK for 16+ years; all of my school education has been in the English taught British school system. This has helped clients in particular, with children in a British school here.

I have designed my classes with the aim of building the basic skills required in holding conversations, succeeding in an English speaking environment but also teaching students who have an advanced level but require extra help (often with the technical side, for example the rules surrounding tenses and other grammatical points).
