I make fun and goal-oriented classes with visible results for my students. We can work on anything, ranging from a great accent to superb writing skills. I use language coaching principles to work with motivation and try to find what works best for you specifically as a student

With my varied conversation lessons, alternating with reading, listening and short tests, we playfully build on better pronunciation and understanding. I have more than 40 years of experience with the English language, have lived in South West England for > 16 years and worked for many years in business in both the UK and the Netherlands. With a lot of hands-on experience with the language and internally improving the language use of international colleagues (Thailand, Philippines, Dutch, etc.), I now also have a TEFL/TESOL Teaching Certificate and have now focused on teaching.

My name is Valérie. As a native speaker of French and Dutch and graduated as an interpreter of French/Dutch I give with great pleasure French language courses and Dutch for expats in Amsterdam/ Amstelveen for years to all different kinds of students. Lessons can also be followed online.

The lessons are given in French or Dutch and are mainly focused on speaking the language. They are therefore practically oriented. The lessons are tailor-made because I follow the wishes and goals of the students during the first lesson.

I think it is important that the student experiences pleasure in learning the language, it is and stays a way of communication!

I work at an international language school and I teach Dutch to mainly expats.
My focus is on pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar. It is important for language proficiency to keep practicing regularly, which is why I give homework after the lesson. By mainly speaking and doing role plays, I get a lot out of my students and they gain more confidence in speaking the language.
