Whether you are a complete beginner or have already studied art, this class is for you. Tuition is designed specifically for you. During the first lesson we will establish goals, discuss your preferred learning style, and tailor the program to meet your needs, whether it is getting better at expressing yourself through art or preparing for architectural entrance exams in Finnish universities. I will teach you how to paint using traditional mediums, as well as draw, sketch, and come up with ideas when you need to, not just when you feel inspired.

About Me

Hi!
I am Charlie, architecture student at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki. I was born and raised in Saint-Petersburg, the city of arts, as some people like to call it. My education in arts is a mix of strict Russian school and Finnish freedom and creativity.
Drawing and painting have been a part of my life for many years now. I want to share the wonders of artistic view on life with my students. Because art can truly change the way you see the world.

Education

- Art lyceum Iogansona in Saint-Petersburg, Russia architecture class, completed in 2019
- Metropolia UAS in Helsinki, Finland, bachelor degree in architecture, graduation year 2023 (not completed)

Experience / Qualifications

During my high school years I was helping with tutoring teenagers. I would teach drawing and watercolor painting to help them pass the entrance exams to the lyceum. Being a top student in my year, I was also tutoring some of my classmates for art subjects.

This workshop is for anyone who has an interest in learning about the the craft of working with leather. This workshop will introduce the tools and products used to create high quality handmade leather goods. The primary skill set being taught at this workshop will be hand stitching leather along with the use and manipulation of basic leather tools. You will get the chance to learn a craft that is old as civilization itself!

Our goal for this workshop is to allow participants to get to know the tools and techniques behind the creation of leather goods, and develop interest in this field of work.. We hope that this will encourage further exploration of this fascinating and deeply rewarding craft.

Art classes for any level and any personal goals. Whether you are applying for art school and need help with your portfolio; or you want your child to learn some art techniques in one-on-one lessons; or even if you simply enjoy painting and drawing as a hobby, contact me! We will discuss your goals together and make a plan for our classes. I will teach you various painting and drawing techniques, basics of anatomy and perspective. We'll go on plain airs and do some real-life sketching. I can as well give you some critic and advice on your artwork in general, help with building a portfolio or an artist statement.
I have experience of working with children as young as 3 years old, as well as teaching in adult groups and providing personal tutoring for teenagers. My own background is mostly academic traditional art, and I do not teach any digital techniques, but as I do work with animation myself I can give some advice in that area too.
