About Me

I am a student taking a year out to work before I take up my place at UCL to study English Literature. I have been tutoring for 3 years and really enjoy working with students to improve their knowledge and help them to gain confidence. Throughout the years I have tutored, I have catered to a wide range of students from year 4 up to year 10.

I'm an enthusiastic tutor, who can easily relate to most students as I was one myself less than a year ago! My teaching method is completely centered around the student as i want them to feel happy and comfortable with what we’re doing in lessons. I will ask the student every lesson what they wish to focus on and work with them on that topic. This will allow me to keep track of the students progress by logging which topics have been covered through our sessions. Furthermore, I believe in keeping the parent or guardian fully involved and up to date with the progress of their child and what I plan to do to help them achieve their full potential in the subject.

I specialise in teaching GCSE and A-level students and I teach Mathematics at all levels and can teach GCSE science if required. My unique teaching style involves teaching students in a way that does not follow the textbook strictly, but allows students to bypass that and I offer them "cheat" alternative methods to allow them to solve questions more easily and offering suitable advice where necessary. Having done Further Maths and received A*s in all maths, while participating in other competitions, I can teach it from a former student's perspective rather than a teacher at school.

As a postgraduate student, I can motivate and inspire younger students to achieve excellence.
Using both descriptive and analytical methods, I can impart knowledge to them with effective communication. I have coached other students that came out with flying colors.

I am a current A-Level student who completed 10 GCSE's all at a grade 9 level. I am enthusiastic, dependable and dedicated to helping my students build the skills they need to succeed and I am confident that I can help my students succeed in their subjects, breaking down difficult problems into small, manageable steps.
