Law Classes - Exams, Test, LNAT Tutoring by LSE Law Graduate and Future Trainee Solicitor

Hi! I am a recent LLB in Laws graduate from LSE. I have taught law tuition to degree level students who have secured high 2.1 and first grades in their examinations. My method of teaching is not to make you memorise the law but to understand the law in a simplistic manner, using laymen terms to explain the law which can be often complex or daunting to comprehend. During our sessions, I aim to finish a topic within a class or two before we tackle past year questions together.

After our sessions, I will also encourage the student to use mindmaps/diagrams to consolidate his/her understanding. The student is free to attempt past year questions and we can go through it together during our next session as well. My method of teaching law has resulted in a former student of mine to score a first class honours grade in her EU Law examination earlier this year.

Subjects which I can teach, having taken them at LSE include public law, property and trust law, company law, competition law, jurisprudence, tort law, IT law, EU Law and criminal law.

Beyond teaching law, I can also help students with their applications to law firms, having secured a Vacation Scheme and a Training Contract.

Looking forward to our classes and helping you realise your potential!

Education

I am a recent LSE LLB in Laws graduate where I achieved a high 2.1. Before LSE, I managed to achieve 3A*s 1A for my CIE A levels. Beyond that, I have undertaken professional jazz lessons besides regularly performing in Malaysia and London.

Experience / Qualifications

I am a jazz/pop pianist. I was the LSE jazz pianist and have been regularly performing at various gigs, functions and even hotels in Malaysian and London. I have taught several students how to play pop/jazz/play by ear and ever since they have achieved independence in playing the tunes they enjoy and I hope to do the same with you.

Law and Economics in today's global world | Discussion based
As a coherent interdisciplinary movement, the roots of law and economics can be traced back to the mid-twentieth century, when Ronald Coase pioneered the foundations of the field with his groundbreaking findings through interdisciplinary approaches. The movement gained prominence in the 1970s and 1980s through the work of Richard Posner and Guido Calabresi, who took the economic analysis into new unchartered territories such tort law , criminal justice , and emerging technologies. Today, it is one of the most established disciplines in law; policymakers (elected officials, judges, as well as, public administrators) seek its impact and influence. This class focuses on the importance and impact of economic theory on legal jurisprudence in various pressing global issues: unfair competition, traditional and intellectual property rights, machine learning and artificial intelligence, global financial regulation, and legislative agendas. I can be flexible about the schedule so let me know if you are interested but cannot make it due to conflicting schedules. I will try my best to match your schedule.

Law School Level Gym and Business School + Business Employee Training
To start, I must specify that the approach will not be the same if you are learning or in school (high school, gymnasium) because the two courses address the same points in a different way. For secondary 1, the course will be adapted completely. A typical course takes place as follows: - If this is the first course: I would ask you how you work (how many hours and how to advise you on a more effective method if necessary), your results on exams carried out and in which areas you have difficulties - discussion on the tests to come (ex: I have a test on the balance sheet / on bankruptcy next Tuesday) and if possible analysis of past tests. - If the questions are ready then we answer them directly, otherwise the student works and I help him (important to ask questions) OR I can also proceed to the correction of homework / presentations and work with him - Quick conclusion to know if the answers were complete enough NB: Preparation for an exam => I can prepare standard questions or look in my files if I have an exam that looks like it (rather for apprentices because I have a certain amount for them) In terms of how it works: 1. In Neuchâtel, the course takes place mainly in the libraries and student spaces near the March 1st building. 2. In Broye, you have to look at each case. Regarding academic difficulties, I can also help in English. If you are interested or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
