Compassionate and well-qualified instructor with more than 5 years of overseas musical training, who have experience with pupils from various ages and backgrounds. More about me:
Born in 1998, Virginia started learning violin at the age of 3, under the tutelage of under Ms Beedarn Chao and Ms Rosa Lam. In 2013, she attained DipABRSM in violin performance and Grade 8 piano one year later. In 2018, Virginia graduated from King’s College London with a Bachelor of Music (First Class Honours), under the sponsorship of the “King’s Hong Kong Scholarships” At KCL, she studied violin with tutors from the Royal Academy of Music - Mr. Nicolas Dupont and Ms Georgia Hannant. She also studied composition with Professor Silvina Milstein, Robert Keeley and Dr. Edward Nesbit. Her works have been performed by UK professional musicians and ensembles such as Clare McCaldin and Lontano Ensemble.

Since university, Virginia has been actively teaching primary to form 6 students at King’s St George’s Music Academy (London) and Sevenoaks School, one of the top 5 UK boarding schools. Aiming to branch out in the field of music, Virginia has took up various arts administration and marketing positions in leading ensembles such as the English Music Festival, London City Philharmonic and more since 2016.

I am a music educator. From Hong Kong. I can play piano, violin and cello. I play cello in an orchestra and also a piano accompanist. I am a jury in Music Competition in Hong Kong and gains numbers of " Best Teacher Award" . I speak Cantonese, Mandarin and English. I specialize in tutoring beginners. However, I love teaching seniors and advanced players. I have been tutoring for 20 years to the age from 3 to 80. It has been a great time to discuss music with all level of students. Students not only learn technical skills, they will also learn music history, theory, and performance skills. Most of my students took part in competitions and in orchestras.

I was graduated with both Master of Music and Bachelor of Music degree (Violin Performance) at Royal Holloway, University of London with PGDE at The University of Hong Kong. Have previous experiences in teaching small violin classes and one to one private classes at schools. I speak fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Have performed in different orchestras both in London and in Hong Kong. I am a full time violin instructor, students ranging from age 4 to adults. My teaching emphasises in the posture, techniques, music style as well as music knowledge, encourage students to participate in music exams and competition. About the teacher:
First, Professional. Holding a Master in Music post-graduate degree, the teacher has been teaching piano lessons professionally for 17 years. She has a solid theoretical foundation in music teaching, composition, and piano performance.
Second, a kind attitude with patience, as well as proper pedagogy for different levels of students. She has taught students who easily pass ABRSM grade 8. She also possesses excellent patience with young kids under the age of six. During the last ten years, her goal has been to solve an important issue: how to make students interested in piano playing. Most kids who learn the piano would give up before or during their teenage time. However, 99% of them regret it when they grow up. In Christina's lesson, she will acknowledge to the students and parents clearly what difficulties they will face during the process of music learning.
It's more important that students learn to develop a good habit, a worthwhile hobby, and the perseverance that will benefit their whole life.

About the class:
This class aims to prepare for the ARSM and diploma piano exams at a more intensified pace. The student is supposed to possess certain musical knowledge or required piano skills. The teacher will help the students develop their missing skills to pass the exam. Different students may require different class length.
