About Me

A Canadian harpist passionate about what I do. I started the harp at 9 years old with a wonderful teacher who, by coincidence, was in the lineage of a world-renowned harpist woul would become my harp teacher much later.

During my time at university, I had the chance to play with many orchestras and varied ensembles. What encompasses my many years is the passion to make the connection with someone by doing or teaching music. Music transcends all barriers.

After graduating from my Master's, I've had many opportunities to teach harp during the past 11 years to all ages and levels, and I have discovered many important and very real things about pedagogy.

I aspire to make this connection with all my students, so that they may feel the same joy of learning that I had.

Harpist with a Master's degree and a degree in music (harp), offers complete, adapted and motivating harp lessons for all ages and levels. The program will focus on the history of the harp, technique, its role within ensembles... The objective is to create a network of harpists from the start. I provide students with the tools to become accomplished musicians, encouraging them to ask intelligent questions about the reasons behind the methods. Lessons are taught on Celtic harp or pedal harp, whether at my home or at the student's home.

Cours d'anglais pour les enfants et les adolescents ( débutant - préparation du Toefl )
For the last few years, I've been working for a prestigious language agency in France. I have a lot of experience working with kids and teenagers. Each tutorial is geared around the needs of the individual child. Some children are visual learners, others are more tactile, while others still have difficulty focusing. For beginner students, we work with visuals and then we do a lot of role playing, identifying the visuals we revised earlier. One of the games we play that kids love is The Grocer, where they sell or buy the items on display. We also play The Pub ( restaurant) and we use real menus and paper money. There's lots of signing and dancing, of course.... For the older kids, we work on things such as poetry, audio-skills by watching and discussing video clips, and lots more. I have one ESL student who is interested in literature and we tackled some of the easier classics like Hemingway. I also assign projects such as creating an English YouTube channel, a comic book series, cooking presentations, to name some of the best projects I've had over the years. I have experience teaching through the net. In the past we've used Skype, since it's free (unlike zoom ). I've taught students as young as 9 through Skype.

English classes adapted to any kind student. Motivation and flexible
I have experience in training professionals at various levels and especially with specific languages. The most common vocabulary and expressions are essential to advance when we talk about professions. The Methodology I use is the one that the student requires or needs but I always try to be dynamic and functional. My classes are usually practical and aménas and I usually focus a lot of attention on motivation so that you do not lose the desire and especially so that day day you go feeling much more secure with your knowledge and with the tasks learned. Perfect if you want to take an annual trip and plan it weekly and I'm sure you will. I can send you assignments at the end of each class and at the same time we can also delve into pronunciation, topics related to your profession and of course some grammar to form the body of knowledge. I can develop a plan adapted to your schedule so that you can achieve your goal.
